Chapter 3

"Let's take things slow." Jacob said. I nod. We lift each other up, arms around each other's shoulders. We walk back into town and stay in an inn for the night. Luckily, it was in the center of town. We both fell asleep soon. "Kill me." I say as I wake up. "What the hell time is it bro?" Jacob groans. I look at my phone. Which amazingly, I still had. It worked too, but it had a cracked screen. "It's... Jesus Christ we better get going."  "Why? What time is it?"  "10:36!!!" I yell. We both get ready and head out. It was still raining, so I pulled my hood up. I started humming,
Who cares if one more light goes out in the sky of a million stars? Flickers and flickers. Who cares if someone's time runs out if a moment is all we are? Quicker and Quicker. Who cares if one more light goes out? "Well I do." Jacob looks at me. "How did yo-"  He shrugged. "Just guessed." He said. Of course he started humming, Love it when you don't take no, love it when you do what you want cause you just said so. Let them all go home we out late, we don't care what them people say. "We don't have to be ordinary," I continue. "Make your best mistakes." Jacob sings. "Baby we don't have the time to be sorry, so baby be the life of the party." I laughed. "You listen to Shawn Mendes?" I ask. "He's my nigga." He said. I laughed so hard, I think I pissed my pants. (Which trust me, is 100% POSSIBLE) Jacob leaned his arm against my shoulder. "Ever thought about killing your self?" He asks. "Millions of times." I chuckle. "Every night I dream about it. It feels like it's the only way to escape." I nod,  "I feel ya bruh." I sigh. We grab a bite to eat and get on our way. It's actually pretty peaceful surprisingly. "Arizona huh?" Jacob asks, "Why there?"  "I've always wanted to see the Grand Canyon." I say. "Sounds cool." Jacob says. "Um hm." We continue walking. "How far is Arizona?" He moans. I giggle and show him the map and point to us. "JESUS CHRIST! THATS LIKE FIVE STATES AWAY!"  "Actually eight." I laughed. "You're one crazy chick." He rubs my head. "Well I heard my mom had a friend who lives there."  "Oh. I get it." I nod. "Well, off we go!" I smile. Jacob grunts. "Don't worry," I say. "There's a safe airport 100 miles from here that will take us there."
Jacob stops and listens. He puts a finger to my mouth. We hear people talking peacefully. Well, as peaceful as it can get around here. "Hey, Sammy, I heard that the black defender chick was around here." Someone said. "Yeah right, Aspen." Someone, most likely Sammy, said. Then they spotted us. Sammy we found out was a boy, with died green hair. And Aspen was a girl who had black hair. They both were wearing light armor and red and gray outfits. I automatically reached for my pistol. Jacob just crossed his arms. "Well, Jesus Christ." Aspen said. "Actually, no. It's just us." Jacob said. Sammy chuckles. "Hey, Sam." Jacob says, "Long time eh?" Sam/Sammy nods. They hug each other. "You guys know each other?" I cock my head. Aspen nods joyfully. "Way back in 5th grade. Well, I'm Aspen. But you can call me Aj." I shake her hand. "Cool bruh. My names...." I glance at Jacob. "We can trust them." He says. "Yea, but can I trust you to trust them?" I say, beating him with logic. "Uhhhh... I have no idea what you just said." Aspen laughs. "She said, 'Can I trust you enough to find them allies and not enemies and that you trust me to have my doubts?' ." Sammy looks confused. "At first I understood it, but now I don't even know." I chuckle. "Anyway, my names Mira." "Awww that's such a pretty name." Aj sighs. "Back off, Aj. She's mine." Jacob chuckles. "Is she now?" Sammy raises his eyebrow. Aj facepalms. "Oh god.." she shakes her head. Sam moves closer to me. I gulp. Soon, he's so close, he's twirling my hair around his finger. "Hey babe. What has that man given you that I can't? Sex is the key to love, I say. But let me guess. He hasn't even given you a hickey, much less layed you up." I try to back away. This is disgusting. Jacob steps forward. "Stop. She doesn't like you doing that." His fists tighten. Aj speaks up. "S-Sam, I think y-you should stop..." "You guys aren't the boss of me," Then he turns back to me. He grips his arm around my waist and traces my lips with his finger. I start to cry a little. "S-stop. P-please..." He shakes his head. "Awww, were just getting started." He reaches for my chest, and grabs my bra strap. I cry more. Aspen speaks up again. "Sam. She's crying. Stop." He starts to reach further down. Jacob then rips him off me. "Stop! You asshole! You made her cry. What the hell Sam?!? You never do that to Aspen! What's up with you?!? Cause I swear to the love of god." Jacob punches him in the face. I crumple to the ground. Sam falls in the dirt. Aspen runs over and hugs me. I cry into her shirt. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. He's never done this before. Not even to me, his own girlfriend." I look past Aj's shoulder. I can see Sam trying to get up, but Jacob keeps yelling at him and knocking him down again. Eventually, Jacob stops, and marches over to me. Aj lets go, and I fall into Jacob's arms. He hugs me tightly and strokes my hair. Aspen runs over to Sam. "The hell. You see Jacob for the first time in probably four years and you hit on hit girlfriend and make her cry. Honestly. You never do that to me. Hell, I'd call the police if I could. I don't know what's gotten into you, but I think I'll stick with Jacob and Mira. Considering that you were such a jerk to them and that they're the only people I know personally." She then surprises me by kicking him in the jaw, causing it to bleed.

A/N-
Y'all I know I haven't updated in awhile but ain't nobody reads my stories anyway so I think I'll leave this on a cliff hanger and continue this on my other fan account, not_a_bts_fangirl .
I'll probably update sometime... next week maybe? Anyways, goodnight for now my fellow noobs and weebs.
