Two Years Later—Forks, Washington
We had to move back to Fork's a few days ago. There weren't many secluded places to hide fast-growing vampire children, so we found a two story house out in the forest, which I shielded all of us with my fast growing power. I could shield everyone around me, which was basically my entire family; the girls, and Irina and Laurent. Irina's sister's visited often and adored the girls, but I asked them only one thing: don't tell the Cullen's, to which they agreed.
The house we lived in now was very modern. The girls had a bedroom upstairs, even though they only slept every so often. I had my own room, which I mainly read in and had what little alone time that I had. Then we had a library, schoolroom and the TV/living room, equipped with many movies and video games. We even built Irina and Laurent a cottage off to the side so that they could have their own 'alone' time.
On the other side of the yard, since we really couldn't take the girls into town, Irina and Laurent had built them a gigantic gym play area, that was taller than normal ones would be. It had swings, slides, a climbing rope (not that they needed it), and a jungle gym. Of course it was made of wrought iron, otherwise it would've been broken if it had barely been touched by either one of the girls barely touched it.
So here I was, outside, watching my girls play while Irina, who was now a nurse, was at work, and Laurent went shopping for the girls, since they grew so fast (that, and he loved to spoil them).
I watched, smiling as both girls jumped 30ft in the air, landing on top of the tree-house part. I had to laugh at that. It was funny to see two girls who were two, looked almost five, and acted twelve, behave in such a way. They were balancing on their separate beams, doing cartwheels, back flips...you name it. Then I got the feeling that something was up...something that wasn't good was about to happen.
“Catch me if you can,” I heard Zandrina yell as she jumped down, landing gracefully on her feet. Renesmee was right after her, landing just as gracefully and chasing her down until I heard a thud, and was there to catch them before they could fall.
“Sorry,” Zandrina mumbled for the both of them, as Renesmee rarely talked, especially to strangers. I helped them both to their feet and then I heard a gasp. I looked up and saw none other than Alice Cullen standing before me, and seeing what she couldn't deny: Edward's daughters. Both had his shade of bronze hair, with a little more brown to it. Their curls now reached their waists, and while one had brown eyes, the other had a stunning green color, which was the only way a stranger could really tell them apart, especially if they couldn't remember their names.
I sighed. I knew this would happen sooner or later...I'd just been hoping for later. I shielded my thoughts from the girls as I asked Alice, “Is anyone else with you?”
