A Long A-Waited Reunion

In no time, the entire Cullen clan was at my house, minus Edward. As fast as he was, he was behind on something he had to do and would be right over.

When Esme, Carlisle, Rosalie, Emmett, and Jasper were absolutely enamored by Bella's little girls. Renesmee was being shy while Zandrina was showing off. The girls immediately took to their 'new' family'. “Watch what I can do!” she shouted, then she crouched and jumped 50 feet in the air, landing in one of the trees.

“Oh my word,” Esme said, hand over her mouth. I think she was amazed and worried all at the same time.

Renesmee walked over and made a symbol for her to kneel. When she did, Renesmee put her hand to Esme's cheek and showed pictures of her doing much worse, and when she did hurt herself, she healed almost immediately.

Esme was amazed and very well taken by Renesmee. Even though Renesmee felt she was too old to be held, Esme held out her hands and Renesmee ran into her arms, her grandma holding on to her.

“Can you speak?” Esme asked Renesmee.

Renesmee nodded, smiling that dazzling smile she had. “I can talk,” she said in her high soprano that was like music to everyone's ears. “But I prefer to communicate my other way, because I can allow people to see and experience what I have.”

Bella looked up in the tree and sighed. Jasper and Emmett watched as Zandrina did different tricks and flips. Emmett slapped Jasper's arms. “Dude, that is awesome!”

“Hard to believe their Edward's,” Rosalie said, but not in malice as she usually would. They were more outgoing and carefree then he was, and that's what she meant.

Bella sighed. “Zandrina, c'mon! You can show off later!”

“Fine,” Zandrina sighed, as she crouched again and jumped across the yard. As soon as she landed, she looked up into none other than the eyes of the man who created her...the one whose eyes she had...her father.

That's when Zandrina became shy, and soon Bella and the others were at her side, Renesmee hiding her face in the nook of her grandmother's neck.

For a few moments, everything was tense. Then finally, Edward knelt down to Zandrina's height. I could tell that she was talking to him telepathically, one of her gifts that she had besides with her sister and myself. Edward smiled. “Zandrina Aurelia...that's a beautiful name,” he said, holding out his hand. Instead, Zandrina hugged him, and he picked her up. She was crying, and he consoled her. He didn't know, but I could hear what he was saying, as well. “I'm so sorry, Zandrina! I shouldn't have left your mother alone, and I should've been here for all of you.”

Renesmee placed her hand to her grandmother's cheek, and she put her down. Renesmee walked very slowly towards her father, almost gauging his reaction to her. Renesmee looked exactly like me while Zandrina took after her father. Renesmee tilted her head to one side, then got closer to where she was right next to them. I knew what she was doing. She was talking telepathically with her sister to have him pick her up, so she could show him something, so Zandrina turned to their father. “Renesmee would like to communicate with you, but not in the normal way. She wants to show you something.”

Edward looked perplexed. Edward picked up Renesmee and had no problem balancing both girls on each hip. “It won't hurt,” Zandrina promised. “It might just surprise you for a moment or so.” So with that, Renesmee placed her hand on his cheek, and the images began:

her and her sister in the womb, hurting mommy but not meaning to her. Being able to talk to her. Hearing Laurent and Irina from the womb. Being born. Zandrina biting Bella, which began her transformation. Renesmee being mad at Zandrina, already looking three months old at birth, until mommy said it was okay, that that was what kept her alive. Trying animal blood, and becoming sick from it, so Irina got a nursing degree because the twins refused to hurt any humans, good or bad.

And then about two weeks ago, while they were at the park. They'd gone there many times before, but while it had only been a month, the girls had aged two years, and people began to notice, one in particular. This woman had confronted Bella, knowing of her kind, and seeing her children with their red eyes. After that, they stayed at their home until moving, which Irina and Laurent went ahead to get everything fixed up.

Both Zandrina and Renesmee were sad to leave. Though their friends looked much younger now, they really liked them and knew they'd miss them.

Edward's eyes looked misty, even though it was impossible, it could've even possibly been the girls collective powers doing it together.

But Renesmee wasn't done. She placed her hand back to his cheek, showing him the past two years of her and Zandrina's life, and how they longed to meet their father, their whole family. She showed pictures of when they were one but looked about two, and were staring at the picture their mother had of the Cullen's and herself, and how they prayed every single night that they would get to meet their family...their other family. When Renesmee removed her hand from his cheek, she whispered, “I guess miracles really do come true.”

Edward, amazed beyond belief by his two daughters, hugged them tightly to him. “I know they do.” And even though he'd have to win back Bella's trust, and he would try his best to do so, at least he had his family back...his whole family, and now he had a real reason to live...to keep on going.
