Moni couldn't believe the words that just left the masked man's lips. He was looking for Shawn, well- THEY were. But why? What did he do?

Shawn tensed up, clenching his jaw. Moni looked over at him as tears began to well in her eyes.

"Where is this motherfucker at?" He repeated, growing impatient as he paced back and forth. The other two goons were guarding the door, keeping a lookout for police if they were to come.

"Bae, what di-" Moni began softly, but Shawn cut her off.

"Shhhh," he whispered, placing his index finger over her lips and pulling his hand gun from his waistband. "We gone be fine, you gone be safe."

Her eyes widened when he pulled his gun from his waist and cautiously cocked it back. Since when did he have that? She thought to herself. Did he have it the whole time and knew this was gonna happen?

Shawn got up carefully, making sure that the masked man had his back turned.

Moni held her arms out as she watched her nigga walk into the arms of danger. Silent tears streamed down her face and she quietly sobbed. She didn't know what was going to happen to Shawn and she didn't know what she would do without him. She hoped that he would make it out alive.

He crouched behind one of the booths. He waited patiently for the lead masked man to turn his back. Without hesitation, Shawn sprang up and shot him in his leg then quickly crouched back down.

"Ow, fuck!" The man yelled out, crashing to the floor and dropping his gun to cradle his wounded leg. "Blizzy come out you big bitch!" He shouted painfully.

"Big Dee!" The goons exclaimed, examining their wounded boss. "Dee, we gotta get you out and to a hospital, yo' shit leaking pretty bad."

"You stupid motherfuckers," Dee spat as the pain from the bullet became more excruciating. "Don't let him get away!"

Shawn got up and fired two more shots before the goons could react.

One of the bullets hit a goon in the chest while the other one hit him in his head, killing him instantly.

The people in the restaurant were still paralyzed in fear. Some were hesitant to get up from their hiding spot, unsure if it was clear to step out.

Shawn made his from the booth, and cautiously walked over to the 3 gunmen that laid on the ground.

Big Dee was still alive, but bleeding out severely. The other two that he shot were dead and sprawled out on the ground.

Shawn looked down Dee. He raised his gun towards him, aiming it at his face.

Dee chuckled. He was immobilized and couldn't get up to escape if he wanted to. He knew it was his time to come, so he accepted his fate. He just wished that it wasn't by some young ass nigga who got introduced to the game later than he did.

"We ain't gone stop, Blizzy," Dee said coldly, looking into Shawn's eyes. "You keep taking out our soldiers, now we gonna try to take out you."

Before Shawn could pull the trigger, Jon got up from under the table and ran towards the two. "You not gone harm my brother nigga! You not gone harm him!"

Shawn turned in shock and was distracted by his stupid ass brother for a second, allowing Dee to pickup a nearby gun and firing it.

He missed Jon, but if he was more precise, the bullet would've struck Jon in his chest, killing him instantly.

Jon stopped in his tracks, his heart dropping to his ass.

Without hesitation, Shawn pulled the trigger, sending pieces of Dee's face scattering everywhere.

Everyone in the restaurant cheered, some were still shaken but grateful that Shawn and his smart thinking saved them all.

"Yo, what the fuck is wrong wit' yo dumbass?" Shawn barked, turning to his half-shaken brother. "You could've gotten killed!"

"Aye, I was trying to help yo ass out," Jon retorted, trying to make it seem like what he did helped the situation. "If it wasn't for me, he would've shot yo ass."

"Nigga, he would've shot YOUR ass, the fuck? The nigga was down, I had him where I wanted him." Shawn replied, making his way back towards the booth where Moni was still hiding. Jon followed him.

"Why is yo ass following me dawg?" Shawn snapped, turning around. "Get on, you already made shit worse."

He bent down and helped Moni from under the table. She was very much still shaken. Her eyes met Jon's but she turned away breaking eye contact. She wanted nothing to do with him at all.

"You made shit worse, you could've put Moni's life in danger," Jon said with a smirk, eying her down.

"Um, what about me?" Jon's date asked, popping her gum loudly and sashaying her way over to the three. "Your ass got up and left me at the table all by myself. What if he came over to where I was at and killed me?"

Jon ignored her like she was some random bitch off the streets and continued talking.

"You and yo 'job' putting Moni life in danger," he directed his attention to her. "She don't need her life to be at risk."

Moni furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Why did Jon suddenly give a fuck about her wellbeing? Was he jealous or something? Just months ago, he ended their relationship over a video that was posted about her. Now, he's all protective.

"Jonathan, leave me alone and go the fuck home. You need to worry about your goddamn self," she snapped at him, her eyes glowering with anger. Moni then composed herself and turned her attention to Shawn. "Can you take me home please?"

"Alright," he replied, grabbing her hand and leaving the restaurant.

They brushed past Jon, leaving him and his date behind.

Without exchanging any words, they both entered his Mustang.

They rode in silence on the way to Moni's house, not wanting to speak about what happened back at Denny's.

Music was faintly playing in the background and Shawn was nodding his head to it as Moni looked out the window of the car.

He glanced over at her, noticing her expression before turning his attention back to the road. He felt like complete shit. Shawn cared too much for her. He didn't want his work to put his girlfriend in the middle of danger. What his brother was saying was right, but he was doing too much with it.

Moni loved Shawn with all of her heart. She felt like he was sent down by god as a blessing and as someone to take care and love her. She didn't wanna feel scared or uneasy the way she did, but she couldn't help it. Her life could be put at danger as well as Shawn's.

Moments later, they pulled up in front of Moni's crib. Moni wanted to stay by Shawn's side, making sure that he wasn't in danger and safe, but she had to go. Her mother was probably worrying about her not being at home at the time she said she would come.

Before she hopped out of the vehicle, Shawn leaned over and pecked her cheek. "Text me later okay?"

Moni nodded her head and stepped out of the car. Once she was at her door, Shawn took off, leaving behind a cloud of exhaust.

She unlocked the door with her key and entered in. Closing the door behind her, she took a deep breath and braced herself to hear her mother scolding her for coming home late.

Her mom wasn't there surprisingly. Confused, Moni went straight to her mother's room. Slowly pushing the door open, she found her mother sprawled out on her bed, snoring away.

Moni sighed in relief, she wasn't in the mood to hear anything at the moment, but was glad that her mother was resting.

Moni went to her room, dropped her MCM bookbag near the bed, and laid on it without changing her clothes. Her phone buzzed.

Pulling the phone out of her pocket, she glanced at the screen and saw one unread message from Shawn.

Too deep in her thoughts to answer back to it, she threw her phone on the nightstand and went to sleep.
