An Old Friend

A/N: Hey you guys! I've not forgotten about you guys. I started writing this at 9:47 pm last night, on a school night, but by the time I publish it, it would've been today. I was up late with inspiration. I hope you appreciate this. I literally just listened to a medley for Imagine Dragons last night and it struck me with inspiration. I am working on the cover for my story based on The Emerald Secret. Anyway, here is the next chapter. Enjoy!

Cassidy's P.O.V

I woke up the next day blushing about what happened last night. I still couldn't believe I kissed him. I sat up and looked around. It was cloudy and the others weren't there. I saw a note and grabbed it. It read, "Went out to get some water. Be back soon. -The Krew." Ok, they went to get some water. I decided to go get some fresh air. I got up and walked outside. I walked a little bit from the tree house. I heard rustling in the bushes and spun around. I saw a rat. I ran the other direction. I hated rats. And mice. I went back inside and the others still weren't back. I then heard footsteps. I turned and the others were back. "Hey Cas," Gold said. "Hey," I said. "We saw you running when we got back, why we're you running?" Funneh asked. "I saw a rat," I said. "Rat? Where?" Rainbow asked. I pointed to the direction I came from. We decided to go explore for a bit.

We were walking for a while and when we came to a fork in the path, we decided to go in groups of 2. "I'm in Funneh's group!" Gold shouted. "Me and Rainbow are a group!" Lunar said. That left me, Draco, Alec, and Kyran. "Me and Kyran will be a group," Alec said. That left me and Draco. We both blushed a little due to what happened last night. We split up taking different parts of the path. Me and Draco kept walking down our path. I heard rustling in the bushes and footsteps. I froze. "Hide," I whispered. Me and Draco hid behind some bushes. But, I wasn't well hidden. Someone stepped out of the bushes. It was a girl with frizzy blonde hair and green eyes. She was wearing a grey t-shirt and black pants with white sneakers. Her blonde hair was in a ponytail and she had a white backpack with her. "Who's there?" The girl said. I swear I recognize her, but from where? She looked in my direction. She walked toward me and yanked on my arm. She pulled me up and looked at me. "Who are you, and why are I-Cas?" The girl asked. Oh. My. God. "Bri?" I asked. She let me go and I stood up. "Oh my god it's you!" We said at the same time. "How are you?" Bri asked. "I'm good, you?" I asked. "Good," she said. "How did you get here?" I asked. "Portal in the middle of nowhere. You?" She asked. "Same," I said. "Um, who is this?" Draco asked. "Oh, Draco, this is my friend from the states, Bri. Bri, this is my friend from when I was little, Draco," I said. "Hey," Draco said. "Hey," Bri said. We decided to head back to meet up with the others.

When we saw others, they waved. "Hey Cas," Rainbow said. "Who's this?" Funneh asked. "This is my friend from the states, Bri. Bri, this is Funneh, Rainbow, Gold, Lunar, and those too over there are Alec and Kyran," I said. "Hey," Bri said. "Hey," Funneh, Rainbow, Lunar, and Gold said. We walked back to the tree house. When we got there, we realized. We were one bed short. "Someone's gonna have to share a bed," Lunar said. Rainbow, Gold, Funneh, and Lunar looked at each other, and smirked. They then looked at me and Draco. I think Draco and Cas should share," Gold said. Funneh, Rainbow, and Lunar nodded. Draco glared at them and I looked down at the ground blushing. After a few minutes of Rainbow, Gold, Funneh, Lunar, and Draco arguing, Draco finally gave in. I gave in too. It was getting late. I laid down and fell asleep quickly.
