Luke with head bowed stood beside Max at the cemetery as the minister said the final prayer. As their friend's casket was lowered into the grave Luke looked around and finally saw Summer. She was standing on the far side of the grave with a man he didn't recognise. She certainly didn't appear to be in mourning for her dead husband. She was dressed in a knee length clingy black dress and she was gazing straight ahead with a casual expression as if she was hearing a report about the weather. Luke also noticed Steve's parents and brother shooting murderous glances in her direction.
The funeral was over and people began to break up and leave. Luke once again glanced in Summer's direction. This time she looked up and smiled in his direction giving him a wave. He ignored her and walked off to the carpark with Max. As they were about to get into Luke's car Max turned to him and spoke in a low voice. "There's a café just down the road. Let's stop there and get a coffee. I have something to tell you, something really important."
"About Summer?" Luke asked.
Then a familiar voice spoke softly behind them. "Hi Luke. Hi Max."
Summer was standing there flashing her sexy smile at them. For a moment Luke felt a familiar twinge of attraction for this beautiful girl. Just for a second a remembered his two nights of hot wild sex with this alluring but dangerous vixen.
Max spoke first. "Hello Summer. What happened to the guy you were here with? Your new boyfriend I suppose?"
"He's waiting at the car and he's not my boyfriend. He's just a friend. I just needed someone to come with me today."
"You didn't look too upset to see them burying your husband," Luke said.
"Of course I was upset, but Steve did this to himself. I didn't tell him to get drunk and then drive his car."
"No, of course you didn't," Luke said bitterly, "Nothing is ever your fault, is it?"
Her smile disappeared and was replaced with a look of concern. "Lukey, Steve and I weren't suited to each other. I realise now I should never have married him. You're the one I love now. I meant what I said last week. Just give me a call and I'll come back to you." She reached out and tried to take Luke's hand but he pulled away.
"I don't think so, Summer," he snapped, "Come on, Max, let's go." They climbed into the car and drove off. Luke glanced in the rear view mirror and saw her standing there just staring after them, her long dark hair swirling around her face in the breeze. She looked so sexy. Again he felt a surge of attraction for her.
Ten minutes later he and Max were sipping on coffees in a small café.
"So I did some digging on her Facebook page and also talked with a couple of her Facebook friends who knew her in Brisbane," Max was saying in a low voice so no one would overhear. "She had been going out with a guy called Patrick Moorecroft for a few months, then one night when she was supposed to meet him for dinner she sends him a text dumping him. The poor guy gets so upset he walks out of the restaurant onto the street and gets hit by car. He died in hospital. Then she starts going out with someone else the next day. Guess who it was?"
"Steve?" Luke said.
"Right, and of course she never mentioned to him about what happened to her previous boyfriend. The two Facebook 'friends' of hers say she is poison, stay away from her. But it gets worse. Remember that couple Cherie and Liam who were at Steve's house warming party?"
Luke nodded."Well a couple of days after the party Steve and Summer went to visit them at their house. While Steve was having a few drinks in the lounge room, Cherie noticed Liam and Summer had disappeared. She walked in on them in the bedroom. Summer was giving Liam a blowjob. She was furious of course, but she didn't say anything to Steve because she didn't want to cause their marriage to break up. But the next day Cherie kicked Liam out of the house. They've broken up because of Summer. They had been together for nearly a year."
Luke let out a low whistle. "Wow, she really is a piece of work. Who is she? The daughter of the devil?"
"I'll tell you what she is, Luke," Max sighed in disgust, "She is a nymphomaniac sociopath. She doesn't care about anyone but herself. She tells lies to men, gets them to fall in love with her, then she chews them up, spits them out and moves into the next poor unsuspecting guy."
"Sociopath? I think you mean psychopath."
"Well whichever she is, Luke, you've got to watch out for yourself. It looks like she has her sights set on you to be her next victim."
Luke sat back and let out a deep breath. Max was right. Two men that they knew of had died because of this woman. She was deadly and dangerous. But if she came to him and used her sexy charms on him again, would he be able to resist her?
Luke tried to resume his normal life, but after the events of the previous couple of weeks he found it difficult to sleep, to eat and to concentrate. Every time his phone rang he checked to see if it was Summer. Every time there was a knock at the door he was afraid to open it in case it was her. He was a nervous wreck! But a week passed and he hadn't seen or heard from her. He tried to make another date with Sue, but when he called her she politely declined telling him he had issues to work out before she would go out with him again.
Another week passed. Luke finally started to relax. Maybe Summer had found someone else and given up on him. He couldn't have been more wrong!
Luke worked as an assistant manager at a large furniture store. It was a Friday afternoon almost three weeks after Steve's funeral. He returned to his office on the second floor of the building after getting himself a cup of coffee from the tea room along the passage. As he stepped into his office he heard a familiar voice. "Hi Lukey." He almost dropped the cup. There was Summer sitting in the chair across from his desk. She was wearing a short skirt and a top with a low neckline revealing just a little too much cleavage. She uncrossed her long bare legs as she stood up and put her arms around him. "I've missed you so much," she whispered in his ear, "Have you missed me?""Luke put his cup of coffee down and untwined her arms from his neck. "No I haven't," he said, "How did you get in here?"
"A nice man downstairs told me where to find your office. I told him I wanted to discuss an order with you."
"Well you're going to have to leave. I have work to do."
Her face took on a hurt expression. "Well can you at least hear what I came here to say first?"
"Okay, you have two minutes."
The customers' seat in Luke's office was a small three seater lounge. Summer sat on it and beckoned Luke to sit next to her. He hesitated. "Come on, I won't bite," she smiled.
He sat down leaving a large gap betwen them, but she immediately slid along and sat right up against him. "Lukey, you've got to relax," she said, "I wanted to tell you how sorry I am for everything that's happened. I feel awful about poor Steve, but I have been so lonely these past few weeks. Nobody wants anything to do with me. Steve's family hates me. Max won't talk to me, and you're avoiding me. How can I make it up to you?"
As she was talking she took Luke's left hand and put it onto her right thigh. Then she gently pushed it up under her short skirt. With a pleasant shock Luke discovered she was not wearing underwear. Her scent was intoxicating, she was so beautiful, he couldn't help himself. Then his lips were crushed against hers, and they were rolling around on the lounge with Luke's fingers gently massaging Summer's swollen clitoris while she moaned with pleasure.
"I can't! We can't! Not here," he gasped, "Come to my flat tonight. I'm home at six o'clock."
"I knew you loved me, Lukey," she whispered as she climbed off the lounge and pulled her skirt down to cover her magnificent shaved pussy. "I'll see you tonight."
The story really "hots" up in the next chapter!
