Mitch pulled Jerome to his car, still Jerome blushing behind Mitch. This is what a couple does, right? Asked Jerome in his mind. He quickly shook his head. No! Jerome stop it! You can't like the captain of the football team! He probably has a girlfriend. This thought made Jerome sad. "Hey dood, you ok?" Jerome looked up at the Canadian's beautiful caramel eyes. "Y-Yeah, of course I am. Why did you think I wasn't?" Jerome asked, with a bit of stuttering involved. "Because you look sad, anything on your mind?" Mitch asked while heading into his car. "No..." Replied Jerome, of course he was lying because something was on his mind. A special person that he liked since they had fourth grade together. Mitchell Donnell Ralph Hughes was his name. The same Mitch that still had his hand entwined with Jerome's. Will Mitch even drop me off at my house? Asked the younger teenage boy. Jerome and Mitch walked to Mitch's car, them still holding hands. "Here, let me." Mitch let go of Jerome's hand and went to open Jerome's door for him. He is so romantic. Said Jerome, smiling to himself. "Thank you Mitch." Jerome said, heading into the car. Mitch closed the door as soon as Jerome went into his car. Mitch went over to the other side of the car, the drivers side and opened the door, getting in and buckling up. Starting the car and waiting for Jerome to buckle up. As soon as Jerome buckled up, they were off.

In the car ride was silent... too silent. "Sooo," Mitch was the first to speak. "Soooo," replied Jerome. Mitch smiled and turned a corner. "Why don't you tell me about yourself?" Jerome widen his eyes, nobody has ask that question before. Not even his best friends. Jerome bit his lip and looked out the window, seeing if he really wanted to tell the team captain his life story. "Weeelll, I'm not really that... exciting. To say the least." Mitch came to a stop and looked over at Jerome. "I'll tell you my life story if you tell me yours, deal?" Mitch hold his hand out to Jerome, for him to shake it. Jerome keep looking from Mitch's face to his hand. Jerome finally stopped at Mitch's face and smiled, "Deal." He said while he shook the Canadian's hand. "Ok, shoot." Mitch said, while he looked back up at the red light, seeing it was green and he step on the gas, waiting for Jerome to start his life story. Jerome took a deep breath and started, "March the 9th, 1994, a baby boy was born, and that baby boy was me." Mitch widen his eyes at this, only six days older than Jerome, but he will tell him that when he gets to tell his life story. "When I was growing up, I had a hard time telling the differences from certain colors. At that point, my mom and dad knew I was colorblind, but me being the little kid, I didn't. I just can't see green or red, that's all." Said Jerome, continuing his story. "When I was five, my mom passed away from cancer, it was a very sad day for everybody. With me going into kindergarten, it was a very hard time. When I grew up, I had someone in my fourth grade class, but I can't quite remember their name." Jerome said, of course lying. Jerome looked over at Mitch and Mitch looked over at Jerome, Mitch smiling a little, knowing who he meant. "Annnyways, during the years, when I was ten, my dad pass. It was a very horrible life for me. My mom dying at five, and dad dying at ten. Terrible. I was put in a orphanage. Nobody would adopt me, as soon as I turned eighteen, I was out of that hellhole. It was time for me to start my new life. I actually felt.. happy for once." Jerome smiled at the memory and kept going. "I was on the streets as soon as I left the orphanage, having nothing with me, since I didn't really take anything from my childhood. I was walking down the streets, walking in this place called an Shell store. I don't know why I did, I just did. I walked in and two people caught my eyes. Their names are Rob and Vikk. The same people that dragged me to the dance. When I met them, they took me in. I just keep replying that moment in my life where I actually had friends that would have my back. They are like my family. Nobody will replace them." Jerome let a tear go down his face, remembering that happy memory where Rob and Vikk had his back. Mitch saw that he had a tear go down his face, Mitch had the urge to bring his thumb up to Jerome's face and wipe away the tear for him. Jerome looked over at Mitch and smiled, "Thanks." Mitch nodded his head and kept on driving. "Your turn, Mr. Captain of the football team." Jerome joked, getting a light chuckled from the Canadian. "Yeah, I guess it is my turn. Well, my life story isn't really that awesome to say the least." Mitch said, somewhat copying Jerome earlier. Jerome nodded his head lightly to the Canadian, telling him to keep going. Mitch sighed and started his story.
