A very generic detective story.

Shopping.... Why is there a shopping trolly moving by its self

I was walking around with the list in my hand looking at what was next.
(Okay so I have gotten lettuce, milk, bread, tomatoes, eggs and bacon. Now I just need to get five more things and I will be done.)
"Are you going to make a BLT?"
"What?"
"Well you grabbed the ingredients that people usually use to make it. So I was curious if you were going to be making one yourself."
"Uh no actually. These are just simple ingredients that I'm going to use to make an omelette and the lettuce is for a salad I will be making tomorrow."
"That sounds lovely. You must be a pretty good cook."
"I guess. I usually just make enough that will last me the week."
"Well since you are working on the case the universe will help you."
"What do you mean?"
"Well you know the saying. If you do good in the world then you will be rewarded for your good deeds."
I was about to say something when her phone began to ring. She placed a finger up to tell me to wait and she looked at her phone. She gave a sigh and placed it back in her coat pocket with it still ringing.
"Aren't you going to answer it?"
"No it's fine. They will just leave a voice mail."
We continued to walk around the shop while Amelia just looked over my shoulder constantly and was rambling on about something. I looked up and saw a trolley moving down the lane without anyone near it.
(What the hell is going on?)
"And then I was shot at but its fine because my aunt pushed me out of the way. We then had to use this slingshot that was made out of vines and two sticks to knock the creature out......"
"Amelia."
"Yes?"
"There's a shopping trolley moving by itself."
She looked in the direction of it and was thrilled to have a clue is what she called it. She went rushing over and began to inspect it. I slowly made my way over to see that she had flipped it over and began to look at the wheels.
(Is this really what a holistic detective does?)
