A very generic detective story.

I knew this would happen.

We were escorted out and Amelia was thanking the lady while I waited leaning against the car. Once she was done she came walking over smiling.
"Why are you smiling? She told us animals were being killed."
"We have our first clue."
"How?"
"I'll explain in the car."
"No you are not driving."
"Sophia who has the keys?"
"You do."
"Exactly get in the car."
I stood there for a second or two waiting for her to hand the keys over. She got in the car and I reluctantly sat in the passenger seat. She began to drive like a maniac before I could even put my seatbelt on. I quickly fumbled to get my seat belt clicked in while Amelia was changing the channel to some music she would like. Just as I finally got my seat belt clicked in Amelia finds a song she likes and turns it up a bit.
"Amelia please slow down we are going to get arrested!"
"We will be fine. The universe won't allow it seeing as we are on a case.... Unless getting arrested is apart of the case."
"Look Amelia I would rather live another day then die by you."
"Anyway the clue is the animal sacrifices. All we need to figure out is why they are doing it."
"Right."
We kept going till we saw flashing lights behind us. I told Amelia to slow down and she did just that and pulled over. She began to call someone before the police officer tapped on her window. As soon as she opened the window she passes the phone to him and he looked at her confused. He was told to listen to the phone and had a discussion with the other person. While he did she looked over at me and smiled before looking back at the police man. He gave the phone back and told us we could go. Amelia gave him her card and said goodbye before driving off.
"Amelia how did we get out of that?"
"I know people."
"Who was that on the other side of the phone?"
"My aunt. She gets me out of situations like that."
"Is she apart of the government?"
"You could say something like that."
