A very generic detective story.

Whos house is this?

I was holding onto the dashboard again since Amelia didn't let me drive. She was dancing to the music again making me have to tell her to keep her hands on the wheel.
"Amelia please slow down. Your going to kill someone."
"Look Sophia. I was taught how to drive and I passed with flying colours."
"How the hell did they count this as a pass?"
"I don't understand what you mean?"
"You are driving well above the speed limit. How did you pass?"
"Because I'm an excellent driver. Besides.... CAT!"
She swerved to dodge the animal and I held onto the dashboard even harder.
"As I was saying. Besides this car is a rental so everything will be fine."
"I am only 19 Amelia I do not want to die!"
"Why aren't you in school then?"
"Would rather not talk about that. What about you; you aren't in school."
"I graduated and didn't want to go to university. Beside I made a promise once I finish school I get to start working as a holistic detective."
"To who?"
"Someone I know."
"Are you not going to tell me somethings or do you want me to figure it out?"
"All in due time. But right now we are at our destination."
"This isn't my house Amelia."
"I know that. We are here because this lady has some information for us."
(I just want to go home.)
I had the door open and I got out. I closed the door and thanked Amelia for it. She began to walk to the door and I quickly followed. She knocked on the door twice and waited for a response. The door opened and a lady around her 50 answered it.
"Hi I'm Amelia Grace and this is my assistant Sophia. You complained about noise."
"Oh yes. Come in, come in." The lady told. With a smile on her face Amelia accepted the request. We walked in and sat on the couch as we waited for the lady to come back. I looked over at Amelia and she gave me a confused look.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Your last name is Grace."
"Oh no not at all."
"Then why did you tell the lady that your name was Amelia Grace?"
"Because if I use my real last name then there is a chance my father will find out where I am."
"Why?"
"Because i stole this case from him."
"What?"
"I made some tea." The lady told as she came back.
"Lovely."
She pored some tea for Amelia and herself. She was about to pour me some but I declined.
"Thank you but no. Im not much of a tea fan."
"But I insist."
"No no it's fine. You two can enjoy the tea."
"So what type of noises are you hearing?"
"I've been hearing animals waling like they are in pain. It only last for a minute or two but it still brings tears to my eyes. Hearing those poor animals.... Please find whoever or what ever is doing this."
"We will miss. I'll give you my card so you can contact me if the noises happen again anytime soon."
"Thank you dear. Thank you."
