Abigail’s PoV

I went out of Austin’s room here at the hospital. Tss. He is so unbelievable. How can he say such things at his condition? I don’t understand him, seriously.

Someone called me to tell me he’s already awake so I hurriedly went to his room to check him up. He’s a week asleep! Lumalim siguro yung tama ng baril sa likod nya. I’m happy that he’s doing fine now. Kita naman siguro sa kilos nya diba?

Damn it.

Eh ano naman kung okay siya?! Tss. I know, I know. It’s partly my fault kung bakit sya na-confine sa hospital.

I thought while locking myself inside the car at the parking lot. Napa-iling na lang ako.

“Oh crap, Austin. What am I going to do with you?” Nabulong ko na lang sa kawalan.

Napahigpit na lang ako sa manubela ko nung naalala ko yung nangyari nung araw na yun. Yung araw na nabaril si Austin.

*BOOM*

A loud sound came from somewhere. I know what that sound is. Para namang inosente pa ko para di malaman kung ano yun, diba? Putok ng baril.

I was shocked. Not because of the gun shot but because someone hugged me. It was Austin. At that moment, my mind went blank as I felt the impact of the gun shot at Austin’s body. What the hell did he do?! My body started to tremble for some reasons.

That gunshot was for me, not for him.

I slowly moved my hand at his back, checking that I might be hallucinating but I was not. The blood on my hand is enough proof that I was far from fvcking halluncinating.

Medyo lumayo sya sa pagkakayakap at tumingin sa akin. He smiled at me but this time, it was not like his smiles before. It was a weak one. My whole body trembling.

“O-okay ka lang?” He said softly. I know he was hurting so badly pero nakuha pa din nya akong tanungin?

“Stupid!” Of course, I’m okay! You saved me!  “W-why?” I don’t care anymore if my voice is trembling. He smiled, again. What is wrong with him?! He’s nearly dying, for art’s sake! Nakukuha pa nyang ngumiti?!

“I t-told you, I’d s-stay by y-your side.” Those words. Something stinged on my chest. I was dumbfounded for a moment.

I was about to say something but he closed his eyes which made my chest beat like a gazillion drum.

“J-joseph! Car! Now!” I shouted with my voice trembling. Natataranta ako.
