7; does it matter?

"Age doesn't matter, age doesn't matter!"
That's what you told me.
You told me that all people deserved to be treated equally,
To be understood, to be respected.

But what did you do?
You, you yourself defied your own principle,
You neglected my thoughts, my opinions,
All you did was laugh.

And for what reason?
Because you're older than me.
Because you said I was just a newborn person,
I didnt know anything.

I felt sad to hear that,
I wanted to cry, I wanted to scream,
Wanting to speak out that
I didnt like your sarcasm.
