He took our backpacks away the next day and searched us. I had hidden my phone very carefully though.  In my backpack. At least I got one text send right? They knew the general area of where we were. My strawberry blonde hair decided then to break free of the ponytail and tumble down the back of my t-shirt. I of course always had extra hair ties on me. But of course those to were also in my backpack. 'Well now I have to escape my kidnapper with my hair in my face' I thought. 'Great.'

"WHICH ONE OF YOU BRATS HAS THE BLUE PHONE THAT WAS IN THE GREY BACKPACK?????"

Crap I guess that means my brilliant plea for 'hlp' had been discovered. How do I get out of this one?

"I'm sorry can you not hear me? Because I swore I just asked you a question. WHOS PHONE IS THIS?????"

If anything he said yesterday was true if I didnt come clean both me and Benny were going to become very disabled very soon.

"Thats my phone."

'Heres your death warrant,  just sign on the dotted line.' Yup I was that screwed.

"Get up we're leaving. Idiot girl! Hello? Get over still while you still have the ability to walk."

We were pushed into the trunk of a dark blue Rav4. That's right I said trunk. This was uncomfortable. After we had been on the road for about 15 minutes Benny finally whispered,

"Where do you think we are?"

"Oh I think he's taking us home, he just has to stop by the police station and apologize. I have no clue. Why would I know??" I hissed. There was a small window on the side of the trunk but all I could see were pine trees. Lots and lots of pine tree's. Well that was a good sign it's not like those cover the entire state or anything. Freaking Washington.

"Okay okay jeez." he sighed.

We rode in silence for a few minutes.

"Nikki?"

" Yeah."

"How do you think were going to get out of this one?"

"I dont know. Maybe if we make a bunch of noise he'll pull over and try to shut us up and we can make a break for it. Wait try the door."

We pounded on the trunk door for a good solid ten minutes with no avail. I could hear someone one on the road yelling at him to tie down whatever he had in the trunk, because it was bouncing around really loudly. Really? Ten minutes and all we got was stupid road-rage guy? Really. I felt the gravel road that all of us in our teeny tiny town were accustomed to change to solid asphalt.

"He's taking us out of town. Theres only 2 roads in and out right? Washington can't be that small that he needs to take us out of state right?" Benny asked

"If he is then we need to get out like now while we can still find our way back if we run. Crap he's stopping we must be here, wherever here is."

"Excuse me.... Tie down.... To much loose cargo.... I have to take a look."

The voice was muffled but the way it spoke. Any idiot could tell that was some kind of authority.

"WE'RE BACK HERE!!! HELP!!!"

"Is... Sir I really.... forced to apply protocol... Please step away from the vehicle sir"

That last part was loud and clear, but so was the crack of a mans skull on the pavement. I heard a door slam as the man revved the engine and took off. Out the tiny window I saw a man in a state troopers uniform picking himself up and rushing to his car, radio in hand. I pressed my face to the glass and hoped he could see me. By the amount his eyes widened I could assume that I didnt look to good. Wow this was an actual highspeed car chase. 'But those only happen in movies!' I wish this was a movie. I would kill for a happy ending right about now.
