Graveyard
The Paladins and the strangers arrive at the train station in the next town so they can head to Phantomwood that would lead them to Laventon. The train ride was a bit boring. Kody was sleeping while the other Paladins and the strangers sat there quietly. No one attempt to make small talk and kept quiet. So, 4 hours had pass and they arrive in Phantomwood.
Upon arriving they decide to stalk up on supplies before heading to Laventon. The group walk around town and went to stores to gather supplies. One store Chylo happen to walk into had a nice man who looks like he was packing. Chylo walk up to the man.
"Excuse, me," Chylo ask the man and which she startle him.
"Oh geez," the young man said while chuckling, "you gave me a mini heart attack. So how can I help you?"
"I need some supplies really quick, but see you're going out business," Chylo said in confusion.
"Oh no, I'm going to find my own location to expand the family store, but I don't know where to go," the young man said, "but you look familiar?"
"Oh, well my name is..."
"Come on Chylo Warr we're leaving for Laventon," Colten said interrupting Chylo's introduction, "get that guys number and let's go."
"Chylo Warr...," the man said in deep in thought then realize, "wait you're the Chylo Warr for the new Paladins business in the Celes Kingdom."
"Yes," Chylo said blushing in embarrassment, "but I don't know what he is saying."
"It's okay, my name is Ethan," Ethan introducing himself, "and I hope we'll meet again soon."
Chylo blushed again. She just grabs random things and paid for them. When walk out she saw Colten and bash his head in the building for embarrassing her. Ethan just let a laugh and had an idea. He knows he's family never been in the Celes Kingdom. So, he continues packing his things.
The other Paladins and the strangers waited till the twins came back. They ask what took so long. Chylo told them that she got distracted and didn't want to mention Colten embarrassing her. They left and headed to Laventon. They walk to till they reach a fork in the road. Colten ask the four strangers which way is quicker. Rhea reply the right is the quickest looking at the map, but they must go through the graveyard. She told them that can get there in three days. They decided to take the right.
They made it to Phantomwood Graveyard entrance. They walk in the graveyard pathway so they can get to the other side. Colten was focus on getting through the graveyard while everyone was looking at gravestones. Everyone seems all amazing till Alli called everyone over to one tombstone the reads Stelmo. The Paladins were in shock while the strangers were confused.
"Who is Stelmo," Jade asking her question.
"Stelmo was one of the first Paladins of the Hidden Kingdom," Kody said bluntly and was given a death stare by the other Paladins. He realizes what he said and screwed up.
"Wait how would a Paladins' grave be here," David said in confusion, "plus this tombstone looks like it's a brand new?"
"Yeah, he's right," Leon examine the gravestone, "Stelmo was alive thousands of years ago."
"Wait how do guys know so much about this," Byron ask them.
"Who in the hell disturbs a graveyard," a voice came out of nowhere, but no body.
The ground started to shake and a skeleton appear out of the ground. Chylo told the strangers to get back. The Paladins pulled out their weapons and the strangers got away, but close enough to watch the fight. Kody was getting ready.
He teleports above the skeleton and strike the skull with his sickles, but there was a cling sound and he notice that the skull turned metal. The skeleton raises his left hand and swipe to the left releasing a powerful gust of wind. The wind sends Kody flying and hitting the tree. Colten rush and turned into a gorilla raises his fist. Through a punch his fist grew ten times its size on fire.
The fist made contact on the skeleton, but something felt odd. Colten realize that his hand is getting wet and felt like his hand is being cover in ice. Which it was and chain wrap around Colten's leg then flung him into the other Paladins. While strangers were in complete shock. They were in complete shock when they see Kody teleport and seeing Colten transform. Leon and Alli dodge and called out the companions. Those companions merge with Leon and Alli and they transform into strange creatures. Leon turn all dark and his scarf turn into a hand while Alli turn into something alien angelic.
Both attack the skeleton, but release a flash of lights then strike them in the back with the trees behind. Chylo charge forwards with her battle axe and she started to multiple. The skeleton strikes the earth making an earthquake and combing it with electricity. The clones vanish and giving Chylo a shock. She felt the paralysis striking her legs. She is unable to move, but the skeleton raise his hands.
"I see you mancers are good, but your amateurs compare to me," the skeleton said, "plus you can't me, Captain Sidney Phantomwood the Immortal Skeleton, but called me Sid."
"Captain Sidney...wait you're the pirate from the myth," Colten questioning the skeleton.
"Myth!? Sonny I'm a legend," Sid said, "you heard of me, right?"
"Yeah, the pirate who made a deal with a witch to give you the elements by taking small amount of blood from the first Paladins," Chylo explain, "the witch told you half is fine, but you were greedy and took 10 out of 13 Paladins' blood."
"This is correct lass," Sid said giving them a compliment, "but the one thing she didn't tell me is that I was going to lose my flesh."
"No, but why," Leon asking the pirate, "why aren't you finishing us off?"
"I don't have a reason, you attack first," Sid said and the Paladins understand that they did attack first, "plus who are you?"
"We are the current Paladins of the Hidden Kingdom," Kody said and showing his Mark of the Paladin that is on his right knee.
"Wait you five are the new Paladins," Sid ask them and they nodded, "where are the other five?"
"Possibly dead," Alli said, "we don't know...ten years ago the Hidden Kingdom was attack and most including our parents were killed."
"I'm sorry to hear that, but where do you lived now?"
"We live in the Celes Kingdom, the King, the princess and some of his staff knows who we are and no one else knows," Colten said while Sid was thinking.
"Alright let me help you to train your skills," Sid offering them help.
"Why," all the Paladins said in unison.
"I been alive for a long time and I know tricks that could help you soon," Sid said and the Paladins thought about, "what do you say?"
"Okay, but you have to leave here and live in the Celes Kingdom," Colten said getting up of the ground.
"A change of scenery doesn't hurt plus its dull here," Sid said.
"Alright, Kody teleport Sid back our business," Colten ordering his friend, "it will be a few days till we get back. Are you fine with that?"
"No problem," Sid said while Kody walk up and teleports him back to their business and back. The strangers came back in shock and started to bombard them with questions. Colten said that they explain later, but know they need to get going. Chylo use her earth powers to fix the ground so they don't be assume of destroying the cemetery.
The Paladins and the strangers left the graveyard and carry on their trip. The Paladins did give some explanations to the strangers from keeping the trip from being boring. They only told them about their elements and their other abilities. They try to ask about the transformations they did and ask why Kody couldn't do it. They said that Kody is lazy slob, but told them that he doesn't have that ability and they will explain another time. This went on for three days when they arrive Laventon.
"We arrive, now it's time to investigate," Colten announce.
