The God of Death Has Arrive
"Why would that girl would go and pick a fight with the god of death," Chylo said with a worry tone in her voice.
"I don't know, Chylo," Colten said considering why did she came to them then left while following Chylo. With Leaf's scent in the Kingdom that was once their home they could track her location in this kingdom of ruin. In Colten's head he was a worry about this girl and her chances to fight the god of death. They had to find her before it was too late for the young girl.
Colton and Chylo rush in air to catch up to Leaf Valentine. These questions were flooding their heads, but they don't have time. They know they need to get to Leaf before she does something reckless.
But it was too late.
Leaf rush back to their house with her sister on her back. She knows why the god of Death, Oro, and his assistances, Kyzura, are heading to their house. Their mother was dying to a life-threatening disease. This disease can affect other mancers, but it's more common to floramancers. One in every twenty floramancers may get this disease. Leaf's mother happens to get it and time was running low.
"Leaf is mom going to die," Sophia asking with a worry tone to her sister.
"This may sound selfish, but I will not let that happen," Leaf said with a hint of a façade of courage to keep her sister's spirits.
"You're scared," Sophia said seeing through her sister's façade.
"I know, but after dad die," Leaf said with a lump in her throat and fighting back her tears, "She was working hard raising Francis and you while I was busy with my training, till she got the disease."
"I know," Sophia said in sadness.
Running in this decaying city with silence. The only sound they could hear is Leaf's feet running onto the ground echoing off the buildings of the past. They were close to their house, but Leaf had this strange feeling that two people she encounters are following them. She asks her sister if they were being follow. Sophia turn around to see either on the ground or in the air. Even using her floramancing abilities to see through the underground. Nothing and that put Leaf at ease for the time being.
"The only way to make sure she'll be fine," Leaf said, "I have to stop, Oro!"
"But you'll die if you fought the god of Death," Sophia said pointing out Leaf's suicide mission, "and if you did defeat him. Mom will suffer."
"Do you think I don't know that," Leaf snap freezing the ground and surrounding buildings, but not her sister. Sophia let out a yelp as Leaf continue running towards their home. Leaf knew she scared her sister for lashing out at her, "I'm sorry Sophia. I'm just stress and scared about this, but I have to be strong and not show weakness."
"Like after what to that one boy almost did to you out of jealousy of your gift," Sophia said bring up a memory that Leaf didn't want to remember.
"I giving three gifts when I was born, but one was more important he wanted then the other two," Leaf said.
Sophia knew Leaf was risking her life, but it was a terrible idea. They were coming close to their house when they saw Oro and Kyzura at their house with an ice barrier created by Francis.
"Found her location and...," Chylo said ten miles away in the air before catching up with Leaf, but she was now in shock what her nose just picks up.
"What is it Chylo," Colten said in confusion when his sister shortens her response.
"I smell Oro as well," Chylo said, "She found him."
