Years
Walking in the halls of the old castle. Footsteps echo down the hall and everything look the same with some modern devices. For being trap in stone for thousands of years, but Zero knew the evolution of technology got the general idea from eavesdropping as a stone head. He may not know how they work, but he doesn't bother with it.
"For...being imprison in stone.... for all these.... years," Zero said as he was grasping for air, "the castle still stands...How did you manage....to keep it like it...like this for years?"
"We adapt to the times while we continue looking for the pieces," Phantasma explain while she and the other 5 members continue walking with their leader, Zero, "we have something to show you in the laboratory!"
As Phantasma lead the way Zero notice that they were one short and was curious. Zero spoke up and ask, "Where is Demo?"
Slauter broke the silence, "You'll see."
As the continue walking to the laboratory while the sound of the footsteps kept echoing down the hall ways. Silence doesn't seem to bother them. The members know that Zero is still weak and hasn't regain his strength, but they know that the Paladins are going after them and without their leader at his full strength. They will kiss their lives goodbye and be sent to the Nether.
Knowing the members won't be able escape the Nether for a second time. For them thinking about send a sharp chill up their spines by the thought of the Goddess of the Nether and Torture would do to them. She is very cruel to the imprisoned souls in the Nether.
"We arrive," Phantasma said as she opens the door and her previous thought became absent. In front of them is a large tube in the middle of the room with skin floating and heart monitor is beeping.
"Is that..." Zero asking Phantasma and she nod before he could finish his sentence. The skin floating in the tube was Demo. Phantasma told Zero that Demo was killed, and they think it was the same Paladins that encounter the other day that killed Demo. "How... long ago was... it when it occurs?"
"10 years ago," Mata answer the question.
"Never underestimate a Paladin, even they are new," Zero said without grasping for air with his lungs finally recover he be able to speak without stopping ever couple of words. "You know Paladins get harder to killed when they age even as a child they can survive the same injuries as an adult..."
Zero was interrupted by an unknown voice and it wasn't Demo's voice.
"I needed to kill her to become the Ice Paladin."
"Who is that?!"
"We don't know," Faultout said, "we found him not too long ago. He's a bit delusional. Saying if you kill a Paladin that he may become one, but we try to explain to him that it doesn't work like that, but we guess he ignore us."
"So why is he here?"
"We thought if we can sawn Demo's skin onto his that Demo will be some what reborn," Mara said, "His soul is still lingering onto his skin."
Looking at the tube of Demo's skin Zero felt a sharp pain in his heart. "Seeing him like this could put me into tears, but knowing he is still hanging on even though he's dead. You're a stubborn to be killed Demo." As he turns to see the other members with a devilish smile. "It's great to be back."
"It's good to see you again...," The members said in unison, "our dear father!"
"Now let's get to work bring Demo back," Zero order his children and they get their captive and get ready to the operation.
