LOVE OR FRIENDSHIP?

Walk Around Town

Salman's POV

            I stepped out first and the others followed me. I looked to my left and I could see few people in the distance, so I decided to go towards the right because I didn't see anyone there.

            We walked quite far on the pavement. Then I spotted an old lady walking slowly. I didn't react, rather pretended like I didn't see her and hoped the others doesn't notice her too. After I walked passing the old lady, I hear Kaym yelling,

"Hey Salman, stop! Where are you going?"

           I turned behind and found them all near that lady walking slowly behind her, while I've gone quite further.

I pretended like I forgot about my dare, "Why?"

"C'mon buddy! This is the first person you met" Harry said eyeing the lady in front of them.

           I couldn't pretend anymore until I had to finally give in. The lady reached me and went passing me, in her own world, not noticing what's happening around her.

           We followed her once again and when went close to her, I called her "Excuse me, Aunty?"

She continued walking without turning behind.

"I'm sure she didn't hear you, Salman." Said Aliza.

             Before I couldn't open my mouth to call her once again, Kaym, Omar and Edgar almost screamed in that poor lady's ears, "Auntyyy" which made her jolt up and turn behind with an immediate stop to whatever she was doing.

"I'm sure it scared her out" Said Juliet smiling. Gosh I'm hearing Juliet speaking after a long time I guess. 

           Anyway, I was behind with Juliet and Aliza by my side, Omar, Kaym and Edgar were a step ahead of me, Anna, Harry, Fred and Olivia were behind us.

"Go in front man" said Fred pushing me forward. If Omar wasn't in front of me I would've fallen on the old lady.

"I LOVE YOU Auntyyy" I said casually not making it awkward.

"Ahhhh?" She replied confused and she smiled making her toothless jaws visible.

Didn't she hear me?

Or didn't she understand what I said?

"Salman, she didn't hear. Repeat it."

"Crazy? I can't... Her weak hearing is not my problem... I'm done with my dare" I finished off laughing.

"Yeah okay"

"But, guys! That lady is still waiting"

"Aunty, we are done with you, you can go" Edgar told her winking.

"She seems like she doesn't understand English"

           Kaym motioned his hands indicating to her that she can continue her walk or whatever and we left her immediately.

Walking back to Harry's house, I asked "So who else has to do the dare?"

"Only I am remaining" replied Omar.

"Guys! Stop! I have a dare for Omar" said Anna suddenly and distanced us from Omar. She told us what it was. After we agreed to it, Aliza read it out to Omar.

"Walk around town"

"That sounds great only if you people join me"

"No we aren't joining you" Edgar joked
