When Secrets Don't Keep

Cody jumped down from the hatch and looked around to see if the room was clear.

Cody: Alright guys, it's safe to come down now.

Everyone jumped down from the hatch one by one in a sigh of relief.

Cody: Ok, now that everyone's here, we should check where we are.

Annie: It appears to be that we are in the Teacher's Lounge.

Mike: So this is the place where the teachers would relax off.

Annie: Exactly (sort of).

Then suddenly a sound of moaning was coming from the left of the room.
Everyone got there weapons up and faced at the direction of the sound. Then Coach Wade comes out looking sick and walking as well and had a peculiar item with him.

Peyton: It's Coach Wade.

Melissa: Looks like he's sick too.

Cody: Wait, why is he holding a ball?

Then Coach Wade sneezes at the ball giving everyone a disgust look on their faces.

Everyone: Eww...

Cody: Ohh, that..

Then Coach Wade faces the ball at them and throws it at them with full force.

Cody: DUCK IN COVER!!!

Everyone then dropped down on the floor and prayed for the ball to not hit them. Then the ball unexpectedly hitted back at Coach Wade and hit him in the face, collapsing back in the floor. Cody then faced his gun at him to see if it was over.

Cody: Oh, looks like he went back into a nap. Alright guys, help me get him out of the room.

Cody and the others began dragging Coach Wade out of the room and locked the door just in case.

Mike: Ok, now that that's over with, maybe we should rest to divise another plan.

Cody: Good point, alright everyone, find a good place to rest.

Everyone settled down and relaxed.

(A few minutes later)

Everyone was still thinking about what happened but shrugged it off for they're lives sake.

Mike: Well, Sis here's a sandwich I thought I'd give to you.

Melissa: Oh, thanks.

Melissa then eats his sandwich while Mike is very pleased and freshed up, and touched her head for pleased impression, only to discover that her head is a bit hot.

Mike: Uh, Sis you feeling okay?

Melissa: Why? What is it?

Mike: Oh, Just nothing..

Then Melissa makes a small sneeze which shocked much of the group. Everyone began getting close to her.

Mike: Wait! No one's touching my sister until we truly figure out if she's okay or not.

Everyone disappointingly agreed and putted her on the table.

Cody: Annie! Thermometer.

Annie: Here (hands it over)

(A few seconds later)
The alarm bings.

Annie: 101.6 degrees.

Mike: Is it bad?

Annie: No, not yet, we can still sustain her health if we can, but for now she must rest.

Mike: Well, at least she's not turning.

Melissa: (weakly) Mike, am I gonna be okay?

Mike: Your gonna be okay, but you need to rest and calm down so it won't get worse.

Melissa: (weakly) Ok.

Annie then examines her.

(Another few minutes later)

Mike was sitting on a corner in the room and was nervous on his sister's condition. Cole then came and comforted him.

Cody: Hey, you okay?

Mike: I'm fine, I'm just nervous.

Cody: You still thinking about her?

Mike: Yeah.

Cody: I know your sad dude, but its just us now.

Mike: I know what you mean, but I feel like nothing without her.

Cody: What do you mean?

Mike: I used to read this story when I first got into reading. I think it was called,
"The Dead Among Us" by Karley Grayson.

It told the story of a big family, trying to survive and struggle in the zombie apocalypse. Among the family were twins by name of Judy and Jane. Jane was a good and pretty girl and loved being beautiful and friendly to her family, While Judy was a sort of opposite of her, she loved sports and is never afraid to go down dirty but respect her sister and the rest of their family. One day, while crossing through a highway. The family encountered a horde of the dead and ran into the woods for safety.
They lost Jane while retreating but still had the feeling that she was alive. The family searched and stuggled for days and nights, till they came across a farm. The farmowners allowed them to stay till another horde came a few days later. After they all escaped and killed all the zombies, they discover that there was one more. They got shocked when they discovered that it was Jane "dead walking". Judy was shocked and tried to come over to her, only for her older brother to block her and shot Jane in the head collapsing to the ground. Judy came to her body and mourned over her loss while the family comforted her.
They buried her body the next day and left, while Judy was still devastated.

Cody: Wow, that's actually quite sad.

Mike: I know, I feel like this is happening to me in a similar way. I just know that I don't wanna lose her the same way like Jane.

Cody: Hey, Look, this is about survival. Every now and then we will begin to lose people like the ones we know and love, but we'll still remember them if  we can. But for now, we'll keep them alive.

Mike: I know, and thanks for comforting me with this.

Cody: Don't mention it dude.

Annie: Uh guys, we have a little problem.
