I wake up the next morning unlock my phone and I see his name on my screen. He doesn’t know it yet but on my phone, he’s called Jacob Bear. The text says: ‘Morning beautiful. Meet me outside you house at 08:00 x’ I reply with: ‘Morning. Okay J xx’ I missed him so much and couldn’t wait to see him. I put my make-up on, did my hair and got dressed. Walked down the same hallway, grabbed a banana and walked out the door. As I close the door, I see Jacob standing there with the most beautiful bunch of flowers I’ve ever seen. There are blue flowers and pink flowers. Orange flowers and red flowers. It’s so pretty.
“Hello beautiful.” Jacob says and hands me the flowers.
“Hello.” I say as I take the flowers. “Thank you.” There’s a note with the flowers. I says ‘you’re so beautiful that even the flowers are jealous of you x’ I smile and thank him again. He hugs me and we walk down the road hand in hand. My phone goes off. It’s Jacob. I smile at him as I read the text. ‘Hazel, I know I’ve only known you for a few days but I feel a connection between us. I feel safe around you. It would be a pleasure to call you my girlfriend but will you let yourself call me your boyfriend?’ I smile like such an idiot and nod at him. A huge grin appears on his perfect face as he hugs me and lifts me up into the air, lowers me down slowly and kisses me. As we walk up the stairs, I let go of his hand.
“What’s wrong?” He asks.
“I don’t want you to be seen with me… What will your friends think?” He looks at me.
“Hazel, I don’t care what they think. I love you and I’m happy with you and that’s all that matters. It’s a pleasure calling you my girlfriend. If they judge me because they don’t like my girlfriend, they were never real friends, were they? If they were real friends, as long as I’m happy, they should be happy too.” He says and he slips his hand under mine. We walk up to form hand in hand and I hear sniggering as people see us. Jacob ignores it and strides through the corridor. His mate grabs his arm and pulls us apart. “Dude, what the hell?! Why her?” Jamie speaks loud enough for me to hear trying to make it get to me. Jacob pulls away from him.
“Because I love her! She makes me happy! She’s so amazing!” He looks angry. I walk over and hug him to calm him down. As I wrap my arms around him, I feel his shoulders and arms tense but as soon as my hands touch him, he automatically becomes relaxed. Jamie becomes annoyed and walks away in a mood. At this point, our form tutor walks out and invites us into form.
“Jamie, come inside please.” He calls. Jamie walks in and sits as far away from Jacob as possible. You can see from Jacob’s face that he isn’t bothered.
“You don’t have to sit with me Jacob, you can pretend to hate me if you like.” I whisper nervously to him. He looks shocked.
“Why would I not want to sit next to my princess?” He looks deeply into my hazel eyes. “I don’t care what they think. I’m happy, your happy so who cares what they think.” He says as he grabs my hand and holds it tightly. I look at his perfect little face and smile.
