Beverly, Bill, and Joan rode on their bikes for a few minutes. They soon arrived at the Quarry.
Beverly got off of her bike and parked it next to a tree.
Bill stopped his bike near the entrance that's near the ledge and got off, putting his kick-stand down. He then went over to the rocks and kicked his shoes off.
Joan parked her bike and removed her clothes, leaving her in her undergarments.
Beverly started taking off her clothes, just leaving on her undergarments, and put them on a rock. She took her boots and socks off then put them next to the rock her clothes were on. “So who would like to go down first?”
Joan stepped towards the ledge. "Maybe we can jump together?"
Bill took his shirt off, then removed his shorts, leaving him in his underwear. He then removed his socks and stuffed them into his shoes. "Y-yeah, we should." Bill said to Joan, smiling.
Beverly was standing at the edge of the cliff. She held her hands out so her, Joan, and Bill could jump together into the water. “Let’s do it, then.” She said to Joan, smiling.
Bill walked over to the cliff with Beverly and grabbed her left hand. Smiling wide; ready to jump.
Joan took Beverly's right hand and looked down the cliff. "Ready?"
“Ready.” Beverly said, smiling.
"Y-yeah." Bill responded.
Joan looked at her friends and grinned before running and jumping off.
When they all landed in the water, Bill rose up and pushed his hair back. Bill was already having a good time; it was obvious because of how much he was laughing and smiling.
Joan swam up above the water and looked at her friends. "I wish everyone else was here."
Bill looked over at Joan and lightly nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah, me t-too."
Beverly swam to Bill and Joan. She was having a good time swimming with them. “Yeah, they’re missing out."
Joan sighed and started floating on her back, staring at the sky. "What are we gonna do after this?"
Bill looked at Joan and remembered that his parents told him that they'd be leaving for some alone time and they'll be back in a few days. They figured he could handle himself. They also said they'd be leaving while he was out with his friends and would be gone before he got home. "M-my parents are going to be gone for a f-few days. Maybe we can go over to my house next?"
"Yeah, I'm down with that. Maybe invite everyone else down?" Joan said.
Bill shook his head. "If everyone else c-can be there."
Joan sighed. "Richie's busy with street fighter, Eddie's mom probably won't let him spend the night and Stan had to practice for his Bar Mitzvah. I miss the old days, ya' know?"
"Yeah. I m-miss hanging out with everyone." Bill sighed.
"Bill, I want you to know...I want to find Georgie. I want to figure out what the hell is going on. But I'm not as brace as you are. I guess that's why you're the leader." Joan said.
Bill looked at Joan and his face saddened at her suddenly mentioning his little brother. "T-thanks, Joan. And thank you, Beverly. For sticking w-with me."
Joan cringed when she saw Bill's saddened expression and she mentally cursed herself for saying what she did.
Bill started to swim to the land. He was getting tired of swimming and wanted to dry off for a bit.
