I arrived at work later than usual since it was pouring down rain and it was freezing cold. That and Frosty was asleep on my chest and wouldn't let me get up until I had to hold him like a baby and carry him downstairs to let him outside. Then I had to chase him around the background to get him back inside.

I walked into work, hair wet, over-sized sweatshirt frozen from the cold air and the rain, and my shoes were covered in mud.
"Jesus Christ Mikey, you okay?" Kat asked as I put on my name tag and walked over to the front counter to "borrow" a pack of cigarettes.
I shook my head as I lit a cigarette, "No. Frosty was being a little adorable shit and I had to chase him back inside the house and blow dry his fur with Wendy's hair dryer. Then I had to run to work in the rain, with no umbrella because we're broke as shit."
She laughed as she stole a cigarette from me, "Well at least you weren't forced to wake up at four by your overzealous dad who woke you up to say bye for a week because he's on a business trip. Also, wanna come over after work?"
I shrugged, "Sure, but Charles and I are going out for pizza and shakes at five thirty. But I'll come by once I get cleaned up."
Kat smiled as she stuck her cigarette in the small ash tray that was on display on the back of the counter top.
Charles came out of the bathroom about three minutes later, handed me a dry towel and said, "Mikey, you could use a dry off."
I nodded as I took the towel and dried my hair with it. "Thanks man," I said as I shook my head to get any extra water out of my curly hair.
I set the towel on the edge of the counter top and waited for people to walk into the drug store.

About four people walked in to buy either a Coke, a bag of chips, medication, or cassette tapes (which were oddly cheaper than Radio Shack). But once the small clock above the glass double doors had struck 11:08, I heard the doors open with four people walk in. They all had on slick leather jackets, black, blue, or grey jeans, and they all had very fluffy hair. But once one of them came up to the counter with a bag of chips, a yellow lighter that had a smiley face on the front, and a bar of blue soap, I nearly shit myself. I looked up as I input the items codes into the register and saw that none other than one of Bridger Alternative High's  j.d.'s was standing right in front of me. Michael Rose. Michael. Fucking. Rose.

The Brazilian man that all of us feared because of how he treated people. And I'm not saying that to be racist, because his older brother who is Charles's best friend, Javier, is the complete opposite from Michael. Michael was around 5'10, he was tan skinned, black haired, and had grey-ish green eyes with very bushy eyebrows. And he wore a thin gold chain around his neck.

Once he handed me the amount due, he looked at me then said, "Hey, where have I seen you from?"
I  shrugged my shoulders and looked up at him, saying, "Bridger Alternative High? You were a senior when I was a junior. Does my physical appearance ring a bell at all?"
He nodded, "Yeah, you're Mikey Harrison Webb. Your little sister died by a police man, right?"
I nodded, as I handed him the bag of items, "Yeah, let's not talk about that."
He nodded, as he saluted me. He then called out to the other two men, "Alright then, lets go guys."

I looked in the four small isles and saw three other guys around his height walked up to me with items. The first guy I recognized from my chem class soft more year. P.J. Walkers. He was always nice even though he was in Michael's gang. And yes, Michael was a gang leader, but I don't know if he still is or not. P.J. was a ginger that always wore aviator glasses indoors. I never knew why since he's not blind. The second guy was a tall buff Italian man, around twenty. Only, he was tall for an Italian. He looked around 6'1 and he had tan skin, black hair that was styled like an Elvis impersonator, and he had ice green eyes with long eyelashes. He had a busted upper lip with a single silver earring pierced in his left ear that was slightly pointed. He wore a skin tight, black, short-sleeved shirt that had a purple cougar on it. He only had a vanilla Coke with him. The third guy looked part Native American since his hair was thick, and his face was angular, but it was bleached. He was very light skinned however, and his eyes were an amber color, not black like Charles's. He only had a lighter and a few pins. The pins were a Rolling Stones one, a smiley face, a marijuana leaf, and a bear face. Once they all left, I looked at Kat and Charles, who were looking at me in shock.
