Chapter 29: A New Start

That thing had me shook for hours afterwards..... tho I still enjoy their songs....and I'm still shook...

(3rd Person POV)

"NAGISA!" Someone shouted from outside.

"Die." Someone from inside the class said.

Isogai looked at the machine that had begun to aim towards the front of the classroom and then at Nagisa. He knew he had to do something, but what? He only thought of one thing: pushing her towards the floor, shielded her from the rain of bullets that soon began.

"Four shotguns and two machine guns. Nice choice of weapons! However!" Korosensei said, dodging every bullet. "Firing during class time is prohibited due to safety reasons!" Korosensei yelled over the noise of the 6 firearms being discharged at the same time.

The artillery stopped firing after its failure of an assassination.

"Understood. I'll be more careful next time. Preparing for the next attack." The artillery said, the screen turning green. Everyone gasped, lowering their heads for the incoming attack. Isogai, meanwhile helped to escort Nagisa out of the classroom through the window, where they saw Karma.

"Karma!" Nagisa said, panic hinted in her voice as she quickly jumped out and ran towards him, wrapping her quivering arms around his torso. Karma was taken by surprised, a minute passing before he rubbed circles on her back.

"Sorry I came so late. Had to help Ritsu with a few things." Karma said, staring at the figure approaching the two.

"Where were you?" Isogai said, glaring at Karma. "Thought you'd be there to protect her. After all, you-"

"What I am to her shouldn't concern you." Karma said bluntly, Nagisa looking at him and then at Isogai.

"Yuma-kun. I-There's something we need to tell you. You see-"

"I don't care if you two are already dating." Isogai said strongly, making Nagisa stiffen due to the aura being released from her boyfriend. "I told you already: I'll still try to make you see me as a potential boyfriend!"

"Oya~ Is this a declaration of war Ikemen?" Karma said, his nose sticking into the air with arrogance.

"Karma, don't-"

"You bet it is Karma." Isogai said, standing face to face with the class devil. "I'm not giving up on Nagisa." Karma smirked.

"No take backs. Hit me with all you have." Isogai smiled.

"Didn't plan on doing otherwise."

"Ritsu lost control of that thing inside?!" Nagisa yelled, making Karma shove a dango into her mouth. Currently, they were ditching class, sitting by the cliff. Nagisa didn't want to go back to class, scared that the artillery might aim for her again. Being with Karma helped her ease her unwanted tension.

"So loud. And yeah, she lost control of her own weapon, or rather system. Right now she's at home working on attaining back her artillery." Karma said, putting a mochi into his mouth.
