Chapter 12: Of Tears and Hugs

This chapter happens within the same day as the previous.

To clarify, Andrew is actually a girl. The reason behind this is said in season 2 (yes, there will be a second book containing the events of season 2 or should it remain in the same book? Dunno).

(Karma's POV)

After feeding the house pet, she left to go work at Nagisa's mansion. Finally some peace and qui-

DING DONG

"Karma, seems Ms.Yukimura is here." Ritsu said, appearing on the tv screen of the living room.

"Ristu, what are you doing?" Ritsu looked at me blankly before smiling.

"I took over the entire house! Or at least whatever I can hack that is..." Ritsu said, making herself appear onto the other nearby devices. I sighed.

"Whatever, just hide until Sensei leaves."

"Hai!" Ritsu then turned off herself and wished me lucked. I went to the door to open it, only for Sensei to catch me unguarded.

(3rd Person POV)

"Thank God you are okay Karma!" Yukimura said, hugging the life out of Karma. Karma can only try to signal her that he couldn't breath but to no avail. It took a while for Yukimura to see that Karma was slowly passing out. "I'm sorry! It's just that I'm so happy to see you aren't harm! After attacking Semenov, I thought for sure that he was going to get back at you somehow."

"It's okay Sensei. As you can see, I'm okay...for now." Karma replied, rubbing his back.

"Don't worry! I'll make sure to put him in his place and not let him lay a finger on you!" Yukimura said energically. "By the way, did you have breakfast already?"

"I did but-" Karma looked around when he saw the burnt toast. "Well I tried to make a new dish today but I ended up burning it. I didn't have the chance to eat anything." On cue, Karma's stomach growled. Yukimura smiled.

"Well then, I guess I'll make some breakfast!" She took off her shoes and put on some guest slippers.

"Okay..wait....what?! Sensei, you don't have to make anything. I can make breakfast my-"

"Karma." Karma froze. "It's already pretty late and a growing child like you needs to eat! So don't complain and let me do the cooking!" Yukimura stated, taking out some cooking utensils and ingredients.

"H-hai." was the only thing Karma could say as he watched his teacher prepare a meal for her student. He watched as Yukimura carefully, but expertly cracked the eggs and flipped them. They retained their circular shape, something he still hasn't perfected. He watched as she tenderly set the finished eggs onto the table. Karma's mouth watered a bit as he saw his teacher finish her "dish" by placing a red sauce over it.

"And I present to you Yukimura's Fluffy Egg!" Karma burst into laughter. "What?"

"That's such a childish name for your dish."

Yukimura pouted. "Well, are you going to eat it? It's best when it's hot." Karma looked at the steaming hot fluffy egg. Giving thanks, he bit into a fluffy chunk.

"It's delicious." Karma didn't know why he enjoyed the egg. Usually he would say that he can make something better than the dish he was tasting. However, he couldn't bring himself to say such a thing. He didn't know why he liked the egg so much  despite not being his own cooking. It was a simple dish yet why did he like it so much?
