Alex and I walk into the DEO control center. Winn is there. We share a nervous look and then hug. He can tell I'm upset. "Kara, it's ok. Whatever happens, we have each other." he reassures me. I nod, although deep in my heart, a new emotion has stirred. I wonder what I will feel again when I see Mon El. I wonder what change is in store for me. Winn can't help but notice my day dreaming. Seeming somewhat jealous, he grabs my attention. "Kara, this is the message we received." Winn says as he selects the play button. The message relays: "Fellow friends of Earth, my name is Mon El, and I mean no harm." I gasped as I hear the sound of his voice again for the first time in forever. "I am trying to find my way into Earth and my pod doesn't have enough power, so I need help. If anyone receives this message, would you be so kind as to help me find my way to National City. Thank you." The recording turns off and everyone is silent. Jonn speaks up, "We need to help him." As he says this, my stomach turns inside out. "I can't do this anymore." I say as I dash out of the room." "Kara wait! Come back!" Alex yelled as she ran after me.
