Winn, Jonn, and I headed to the DEO control center. We all gathered at the meeting table. "We need to come up with a plan." Jonn said, taking the lead. Winn walked over with his iPad. "According to this, Mon El's pod is made of titanium aloid. If we create a beacon made with the same material, just of negative charges, the positive charges should react, bringing the pod closer to Earth. Once the pod hits the surface Kara can fly up and lower it safely to the DEO helicopter landing pad." Winn reassured us. "We have a helicopter landing pad?" I asked. They all nodded and looked at me like I was crazy. "My bad." I whispered to myself. Winn continued, "Sound like a plan?" Everyone nodded and I quickly changed into my suit. As we all gathered back at the control center, Alex gave me a reassuring look and smile. "You got this Supergirl." she said. I smiled back, although in my head, I knew, there was no going back from this moment. Then, Winn launched the beacon. Mon El's pod was moving fast towards Earth. "Go, Supergirl!" Jonn and Alex yelled. Before I took off, I took one last glance at Winn. He had a tear rolling down his cheek. He already knew my decision, and what was about to happen had dawned on him. I had broken his heart. Choking back my own tears, I flew into the sky. I noticed Mon El's pod right away. I flew up to it and grasped it tightly. He was inside and alive, I could sense it. I flew as fast as I could down to the DEO and placed the pod on the helicopter landing pad. I backed up as the door to the pod opened and I held my breath.
