When you looked at me it felt as if the stars aligned and the moon shifted.
The tides had never been stronger.
The night our shoulders brushed I swear I saw a meteorite slice through the quiet sky screaming for a longer moment.
When you told me I would be okay everything fell silent and I could only focus on the warm air that held us both and the white noise that was only a whisper pleading "someone say something."
And even though we could've stayed there in that moment for a lifetime, reality came in like a sudden fog and engulfed us in a sense of torture that this could never happen.
That the chances of our happily ever after is like Pluto falling in love with the sun.
I take a step back and you are 3.67 billion miles away from me.. and I miss you already.
