“Michelle, we need to talk ASAP,” I said as she opened her front door. “Like right now!”

“Ok?” Michelle said letting me inside of her house. I shoved my keys into my pocket, glancing around me in paranoia. I don’t know why I thought Aidan or Jude would pop up anywhere at any time but I did. I was trying to avoid the both of them, until I figured things out. Michelle led me upstairs into her bedroom, closing the door shut behind her. I fell onto her bed, dramatically, trying to figure out how or where to start.

“Michelle, I sort of – kind of have a dilemma,” I sighed. “Jude and I went on the most amazing date.”

“And,” she said in confusion. “I don’t understand what the problem is.”

“The problem is Aidan,” I growled. “Aidan came out to the entire school and he needed someone to talk to. So, he and I started talking again, which led to reminiscing, which led to kissing, which led to us naked.”

“What?! Wait a minute! Hold on! Did you just say that you and Aidan - ? You lost your virginity,” Michelle said her eyes wide open. She grabbed my arm, as she started screaming in excitement. Michelle could be a little over the top sometimes.

“Michelle,” I sighed. “Back to my problems, Aidan and I had sex. Jude wants to be my boyfriend. Aidan told me that he wants us to get back together. I’m stuck.”

“Can we please just rewind for a moment about you and Aidan? Please? Tell me how it was?” Michelle squealed. I rolled my eyes at Michelle.

“It was amazing, which is why I’m in the dilemma I’m in,” I snorted. “Michelle – I don’t know which one I want. I like them both but I know I can’t have them both. One of them is going to get hurt.”

“Oh my god, I always wanted to be a part of one these kinds of scenario,” Michelle said chewing on her lower lip. “It’s just like that terrible movie with Reese Witherspoon, and those super-hot guys. You should choose by whichever one is better in bed.”

“No! I’m not going to do that,” I huffed. “Michelle! That’s wrong. I’m not going to lead two guys on like that. They’ll find out and I’ll lose both of them.”

“Then choose one, Kyle!” Michelle huffed. She said it as if it was easiest decision in the world. I couldn’t just pick one. They were both really great guys.  Two or three weeks ago I would have chosen Jude, but that was only because Aidan and I weren’t speaking. Now, that we were, it changed everything. Maybe I should just chose Aidan – I mean he and I had lot of history and I still cared about him. But a part of me wanted Jude.

Jude was different, wild, free and caring. He had messed up once, but he made up for it. He was also there for me when I wasn’t speaking to Chad or Aidan. He made me smile, when I was feeling down. Aidan kept me in a secret relationship. I might as well have stayed in the closet. I sighed but if I didn’t care for Aidan, I probably wouldn’t have given him my virginity.

This is awkward. This whole situation is weird.

“I don’t know,” I sighed. “Michelle, both of them are going to want an answer from me tomorrow at school. I know them.”

“You’ll figure it out babe,” Michelle said kissing me on the forehead. How could she be so certain that I would? It was like I was trapped in New Moon, when Edward leaves and Bella falls in love with Jacob, except Edward comes back at the end. Bella totally ditched Jacob and goes back to Edward, which was in my opinion a completely douche move. Would I be an ass if I chose Aidan?

I had to decide. So, I played rock, paper, scissors, made Venn Diagrams, checklists, pros and cons, even played a game of M.A.S.H, in order to figure this out, but that very next morning I was just as lost as yesterday.
