Chapter 7: Nightmare come true.
Sloane's POV:
I could see the pain and hurt in Alex's eyes all during gym class, that dreadful bastard acting as if nothing had happened. How could he be such a monster? How could he break a girls heart and pretend it was nothing? I clenched my fists, wishing I could hit him.
"Alex, it's okay, it's gonna be fine." soothed Sasha, for once calm and collected. Alex was trying to shake off her rage, and I knew that by math, it would be hidden. But I had bigger problems.
Him. Jaden Dellier.
I saw him laughing with Dustin and Kurt. His blond hair swished as he flipped his head, trying to get the hair out of his eyes. He stood, in a muscle tee and black shorts, and it was like he owned the place. All the girls wanted him, all the boys wanted to be him. He turned, and saw me looking at him. He grinned evilly, and walked over to Mr.Faunlick. I saw him say something.
"SLOANE! COME OVER HERE!" Mr.Faunlick screamed.
I walked over slowly, shuffling my feet.
"Yes?" I said wearily.
"I would like it if you would go with Mr.Dellier, I have a personal project you two will be working on, and he will inform you about it as you head to my classroom." he stated, and I groaned inwardly. Jaden grinned at me, grabbing my arm and pulling me out of the gym.
We walked next to each other in a comfortable silence. I could feel the heat coming off his body. I walked ahead slightly, speeding up when I spotted Mr.Faunlick's classroom.
I walked in, heading over to the table covered in art supplies. I bent over, observing Mr.Faunlick's instructions.
I didn't hear Jaden enter the classroom, and didn't notice until hands wrapped around my waist, coming to rest on my stomach, and hot breath pulsating on my neck. I gasped slightly, not expecting it. He gently pulled me around until I was facing him, his forehead almost resting on mine, my hands on his chest, his hands on the small of my back. I could smell his scent, woody and earthy, mixed with a strange smell of mint.
"s-stop it Jaden." I whispered into his neck.
"Why?" he demanded, his face in my hair.
"It's not right..Kaytie.." I mumbled. He grabbed my chin, pulling my face up until I was looking straight into his eyes.
"Kaytie is nothing compared to you. She cheated..I can't stand it." he whispered, and then bent his head slightly, until his lips pressed against mine.
Kissing Jaden was nothing like I expected.
Almost immediately, my arms found his neck, tangling into his hair, pulling him closer. His hands found my hips, holding me in place .
He deepened the kiss and I opened my eyes.
His eyes were closed. I'd seen him kiss Kaytie like this all the time.
I ripped away from him, my body missing his warmth, my mind rushing. I looked at him, at his swollen lips and confused eyes.
"I-I can't...I can't be your rebound." I stuttered out, and ran out of the classroom.
I could hear him yelling my name and chasing after me, but I didn't stop. I needed to..leave.
