I cannot describe how scared I was. The SlenderMan hadn't visited in almost a week, and I was worried sick. "Where is he?", I whispered leaning out the bedroom window. I couldn't see any sign of where he had gone. "Maybe he'll be here tomorrow."
At first, I didn't believe he was leaving me here again. Now I wasn't so sure. Still looking for any signs of him, the sun started to rise and I knew there wasn't a chance he would be back until the day was over. "He wouldn't leave me here, he promised.", I whispered, climbing into bed. As I laid my head down my thoughts were racing. I somehow managed to fall asleep, but it was haunted by stress.
When I awoke at moonrise and he wasn't there, I panicked. "SlenderMan!", I screamed, running through the halls. I called his name through every room in the castle. Clearly, I was desperate. When I ran into the hallway left of the main entrance, I finally broke down."Don't leave me!", I cried. "Please don't leave me! You promised you wouldn't leave me here! I don't want to be alone!I need you! I-I lov-!" I stopped abruptly.
The room had gotten colder. I anxiously looked around. I heard a grunt come from the main entrance, followed by the sound of someone falling to the ground. I ran to see who it was and sure enough, SlenderMan was there. "SlenderMan!", I ran towards him alarmed.
He had black liquid trickling from his chest very close to where his heart would be. I could only guess that was his blood. It was on his arm as well and there was a scratch on his head. "Oh no! What happened?", I gasped in horror, frantically helping him try to stand. "Humans", he growled. "Filthy, lowly, disgusting ghost hunters who think..think..." His legs gave in, and he dropped to the ground. Since his arms were around my shoulders, I dropped too.
It took all my strength to half carry-half drag him over to the old fashioned couch. I gently (well, sort of gently) laid him down so he was resting. His breaths were short and gasping. "Stay-stay here", I said trying not to panic. "I'll go get some, um, medical stuff!" I ran up the stairs to the room where SlenderMan had mended my arm all those months ago. Sure enough, the basket with the medical supplies was still there. I grabbed it and checked to make sure there was enough gauze and other things to cover the wounds.
Satisfied, I ran anxiously back to where SlenderMan was, stopping only to wet a washcloth to clean his cuts. When I got there, he was covering the injury on his chest with his hand, frantically trying to stop the bleeding. I raced to his side. "Hey, hey it's ok", I reassured him. "I've got the stuff you need." I felt around the wound to make sure there was still a heartbeat. There was. I sighed in relief, partly because he actually had a heart.
"You're ok", I told him. "You're going to be ok." I took a washcloth that I had wet earlier, and pressed it onto the wound. He didn't flinch, and checked to make sure he wasn't dead. He wasn't.
As I tried to clean the bleeding, I realized I wasn't getting anywhere with his suit on. "I have to take it off", I told him. "What?", he asked, his voice full of pain. "Your suit, I need to take if off so I can clean your wound." "Fine, fine do whatever you need to. Just make the pain stop!" I used scissors to cut the suit off so he wouldn't have to move. Finally, I could clean the wound well enough to bind it.
By the time I had dressed all his injures with gauze, I was exhausted. My fingertips still had his blood on them, but I didn't care. "I'm glad you're ok", I said as I sunk down beside him. I laid my head down on the couch. The last thing I remembered was him thanking me before I drifted into unconsciousness.

She was so beautiful, laying there next to me. Her hair fluttered slightly as she breathed in and out, worn out from caring for me. Me. I almost couldn't stand it, her being so close yet so far out of my reach.
'Maybe not', I thought, stretching my hand out towards her. I rested it on top of her head. She didn't move, so I started stroking her auburn hair. I wanted to remember every moment of this. Every strand of her hair entwined with my fingers, every fluttering movement of her eyelids as she slept, all of it I would cherish forever.
"You're so beautiful", I told her as she slept. "Yes, I made you stay, and I don't regret it. Every minute I spend in your company becomes the next greatest minute of my existence. I...." Even though she wouldn't hear it, saying it lit my every nerve on fire. I sighed and rolled over so I faced the ceiling, wincing at the pain in my shoulder. I never removed my hand from her head. "I love you."
