Chapter 7

Rose's POV

It has been about a week now since Kyle told me that Eric wanted to go back to his place and ever since then he has been into his work a lot more. Kyle had his stitches taken out yesterday so he promised we would go to the club tonight just to have fun. I just got out of the shower and brushed my hair. I got my dress yesterday and its a little black dress with spaghetti straps that goes down just above my knees. As I am finishing up my makeup, my phone rings and it is Crystal's name showing on the screen.

"Hey girl!" I say answering the phone with some excitement. I've missed talking to her but she has been pretty busy so I don't blame her.

"Hey Rose how are things going?" She asks with a happy tone and I start to tell her about Eric and the hot kiss that we exchanged when suddenly she squeals practically rupturing my eardrum.

"GIRLLL!!! Was it good?! How did it feel?!" She asks probingly. Biting my lip I close my eyes and think back to his hands on my legs and his lips against mine.

"Oh, Crystal it was amazing...!" I trail off.

"Butttt what? What could possibly be bad about kissing a Jenkins brother?! Ugh I'm so Jelly girl!"

"Well my problem is I like them both they both mean so much to me but how about I call you back later tonight I'm going to the club with Kyle tonight. I love you so much." I say trying to finish this conversation at least for the moment.

"What you're going with Kyle?! Ooo scandalous!!" She squeals. "Girl I don't need to watch the bachelor when I got you." she giggles and I just roll my eyes.

"Whatever girl. I love you bye." I say hanging up the phone and grab my shoes walking out of my bedroom and downstairs.

Kyle is sitting on the couch with his legs crossed as he is scrolling on his phone. He notices me and puts his phone away standing up to look at me with a slight blush on his cheeks. He is wearing a light blue dress shirt and dark jeans.

"You look great Rose." He says holding out his hand for me to grab onto. Taking his hand I walk closer to him and smile softly.

When we get there, Kyle helps me out of the car and we walk in together. When we get to the front desk to ask for a table they tell us that there are none free but we can wait until there is so we decide to wait.

About 5 minutes later a table is ready so we are seated and handed a menu. When I look at the menu everything is expensive. It is about a price range of $14 - $23 for one person. I don't want Kyle to pay that much for me. looking up, I realize he is looking at me and smiling. The waitress comes over to us and gets our drink orders before leaving. Kyle is blushing while looking at me and it makes me blush in return

"You look very beautiful tonight Rose. But you always look beautiful!" he teases and I just blush more while looking down.

"You say that too much." I tease back. The lady comes back over with our drinks and asks us if we are ready to order food. Kyle says what he wants then looks over at me. The cheapest thing I can find on the menu is a salad it is $4.

"I'd like just a salad please."

"Are you sure you don't want anything else?" she asks.

"Yeah Rose you need to order some food. She can have the same as me." she nods and walks away. What he ordered for both of us was $20 a person!

"Kyle that costs way too much."

"It doesn't matter how much it costs it's my apology for what I did to you. Best friends never hurt each other."
