"Hey, Spot wanna go for a walk?" I yelled as I came running down the stairs.
I grabbed his leash off the hook in the kitchen, and looked around for him usually he comes sprinting at me when I say walk.
"Hey, where are you Spot?" I yelled again as I came out of the kitchen but the next thing I knew Spot tackled me to the floor and started licking my face.
"Woah baby boy, calm down." I got back to my feet and clipped his leash on, "Let's go Jaxton is waiting for us and he brought you a friend." I whispered and kissed his head.
We walked out the front door and down a few blocks to the neighborhood park. As soon as we reached the park I saw Jaxton sitting on the bench with his dog, but Spot saw him first and decided to take off after him.
"Spot chill boy!" I said trying to catch up with him but he was already busy checking out Jaxton's dog.
Jaxton stood up and checked his surroundings before giving me a quick kiss, "Gotta be careful." He winked.
I laughed, "Anyway this is Spot, I've had him since I was five so I've had him for 14 years. He has been there for me through some pretty tough times."
"I love how you named your dalmatian Spot that's cute. Well this my puppy Bella, she is an akita breed, and I would not bend down to pet her or she will tackle you." He said stroking her fur and we started walking the trail, "Anyways what tough times did Spot get you through?"
I sighed "You have 30 hours to spare?" He laughed, "Well Spot here helped me through many, many, breakups. I don't know how many times I came home heartbroken and crying and he was a trooper and never left my side. He also helped overcome the struggles of being bullied, he just sat there and listen to me go on and on about how they hurt me, I'm pretty sure it came to the point where he located the nearest tissue box and would bring it to me. I don't really wanna go in much more details other than that."
"I don't understand how someone as intelligent and beautiful as you could be bullied and broken so much. Harper, I promise I will never hurt you to the point where you cry." He ran his hand down my back.
"One thing you should know about me Jaxton is that I've been broken in so many ways, I don't know if there is anyway to fix me." Wow, this just got deep.
"Anyways, on a completely different topic, how does dinner tonight at my place sound?" He gave me a smirk.
"It sounds great!" I smiled.
"Oh shit," I looked at him confused, "Mr. Jameson is at the park with his sons, we need to split."
"Okay, I'll head back home. See you tonight." I turned Spot around and we quickly walked back home.
As I reached the front steps of my house I felt my phone buzz in pocket, I pulled it out and it was text from Jaxton, Hey, sorry we had to call our walk off, I just listened to Mr. Jameson talk about his divorce for like 20 minutes, but we still on for dinner at my place around 7?
I quickly texted back yes and went into the house, I let Spot off his leash and filled his water bowl.
"Where were you?" Dad asked as he entered the kitchen.
"Walking Spot." I replied.
"Well next time tell me before you leave." He said looking at me from across the room.
I rolled my eyes, "I did, you were just too wrapped in work to even open your ears to what I said."
"Where has your attitude been coming from lately?" He glared at me.
