The pain was unbearable and it had to stop. Soon little black spots started to appear around the room and my head throbbed. "We're LC!" Dr. Ross said to Mrs. Manning. She opened up her closet and rolled out a drip stand. "Get a drip on her, we're losing her!" he yelled. I looked around seeing my sister-in-laws Jessalyn and Danielle and Marley. "Colby."I said more of a question than a statement. "You want Colby?" Marley asked pushing my hair out of my sweaty face. I nodded breathlessly. "Danielle, get your brother."she commanded. Danielle raced out the door and grabbed my boyfriend who was red and teary-eyed. Ross stuck two long needles in my arm, one on the top of my hand, and the other in the bend of my arm. "Ashlee, how ya feelin' sweetheart?" Colby asked just above a whisper as he got closer. "Not too good dude." I said keeping the tears back. We just looked into each other's eyes. I knew what he was thinking. "No matter what she'll be okay too." I promised. "And you?" "I don't know Colby, honest."I replied. "I love you." "I love you too baby girl." I heard him vaguely say. Then, darkness.
