Ashlee's POV:

I woke up to a sharp pain. "She's almost here." Dr. Ross said. I tried to figure out what was going on. I looked around and my eyes widened with sudden realization, I was giving birth. "She's back!" I heard Colby say excitedly. I saw Dr. Ross look over the sheet that covered from the waist down and his eyes widen. "Ashlee, you're gonna have to push." He ordered. I didn't hold back, I just wanted the pain to stop. I pushed with all my might. "Good good, now one more big push and little Rebekka will be here." he said. I screamed in pain and squeezed Colby's hand tight.

"She's beautiful." Colby said, looking at the newborn in my arms. "I know." I said in a whisper. Rebekka's small body lied in my arms as she slept. "So much trouble for such a small thing." He said. I nodded. The memory of the pain was gone and bliss replaced it.

"Where's my granddaughter?" Colby's mom, Jessica, asked as she stepped in the door. "Mom!" Colby shouted as he ran to her. "Hey baby!" she said, hugging him tight. "Now where's my baby's baby?" He laughed and guided his family over to me. He took her from my arms and held her close to her chest. "Little Rebekka Linn Eaves." he whispered.

His voice opened Rebekka's eyes and they shone. They were the lightest of blues, just like her daddy. "She's beautiful." Jessica said, taking her from Colby's arms.

Rebekka whined and then small, quiet cries escaped her body. She handed her back to Colby and her cries stopped. Jessica smiled, "Already a daddy's girl, huh?" He smiled and nodded. "Guess so."
