Part 120
"What are you staring at?" I ask Harry, his eyes looking into mine. The strength I feel today will not bring me down because I know I can get through this.
"You just look perfect. You're beautiful," he says, smiling over at me. His dimples pop onto his cheeks, my lips curving. I seriously feel like Hazel Grace right now. If Harry stays with me, I'm going to stay with him. I love him so much and to have him accept me with my sickness, makes me feel ten times stronger.
"Can I see your arms?" he asks, my fingers putting my cupcake down. I lift the sleeves of my shirt up and he looks at the little bruises from the needles. His gentle fingertips run over each little mark and he grabs my hands.
"Does it hurt today?" I shake my head, his green eyes looking up at me.
"That's good. Aw, Beth you got something on our nose," he says, my hand coming up to my nose.
"Where?" I ask, wiping my nose. He smiles, putting his finger in his frosting and wiping it on the tip of my nose.
"Right there," he smiles, my eyes rolling at him. He leans over the table and starts kissing my nose, licking the frosting off.
"Stop Harry," I laugh, his lips staying connected on my nose. The little movements are slightly ticklish and I keep laughing. We sit in a booth of a bakery, Harry kissing frosting off my nose. We probably look like a mess.
"There, all gone," he chuckles, my hand swatting his shoulder. He laughs and takes a bite of his cupcake, his body standing up. He sits next to me and wraps an arm around my shoulders. He kisses my cheek and I eat my cupcake, Harry watching me carefully.
"Would you stop that? It's weird," I laugh, his eyes intently staring at me.
"I'm sorry that I love looking at you. You are a beautiful sight," he whispers, burying his head in the knit beanie on my head.
"Harry Styles!" someone yells. Harry turns his head and pulls me closer.
"Niall, you need to shut up," he says, the blonde haired boy and a girl sitting across from us.
"Hi Beth. I'm Niall. I went to high school with Harry," he says, extending his hand. I shake it and the girl looks at me.
"I'm Natalie. It's nice to finally meet you," she says, her hand waving.
I wave and Niall starts talking to Harry, his Irish accent distinct and fast as he talks.
"Yeah we are going strong," Harry says, smiling down at me. Niall smiles and slings his arm around Natalie, both of them looking at me.
"How are you Beth?" Niall asks, unsure of how to act around me. I don't know if he knows about the cancer and he's staring at me like he doesn't.
"I'm okay," I say, Harry glaring at Niall. Natalie's eyes are soft and I think she figured it out, Niall obviously not knowing what's wrong.
"Harry, it's okay," I say, his eyes flickering down at me. He kisses my temple and I look up at Niall, his eyes intently looking at me.
"I, uh, have cancer," I tell him, his face dropping. He didn't know and Natalie looks like her assumption was right. Harry pulls me closer and Niall looks upset, my heart beating fast in my chest.
"I'm sorry," he says, but I shake my head.
"Don't be sorry. I'm perfectly fine."
