I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. I picked it up as my eyes tried to adjust to my bright room.
"Hello?" I mumble into the phone my morning voice raspy.
"Hey Hale! I'm coming to pick you up in an hour!" An annoying fake voice said over the phone.
That's when I remembered I agreed to go to the mall with Jessica Lee, a clingy fake bitch. I mentally groaned in my mind as I told Jessica 'okay' as nice as I could.
I had an hour to get ready for the day. If I was with any other person I wouldn't get ready, because it was a quick mall trip right? But no, with Jessica it's an all day serious thing, and the worst part is her blabbering. She keeps talking and talking, she never lets me talk longer than 10 seconds.
I throw my dark blonde hair into a messy bun, and throw on jean shorts and a blue tank top. I decided not to put on any makeup.
Soon enough Jessica texted me she was in my driveway, but I didn't need her text I could here her pop music blaring in her car. When I walked out my front door Jessica got out of the car to come and hug me. There were two things I noticed, 1) she was extremely tan and 2) her hair looked almost white. She had light blonde hair before, but not white hair.
"Hale!" Jessica screamed my nickname.
"Jess!" I scream back hugging her.
"It's been six days." Jessica says her fake voice was already getting on my nerves.
"I know it's so sad, but at least it's summer." I say excitedly.
"And most importantly we're seniors now!" Jessica screeched.
"Which means getting hotter guys." She added arching her eyebrows.
I laughed and followed her into her yellow Mustang, that her rich father got her for her 14th birthday.
Once we got to the mall Jessica shopped at about every store, and she talked about this guy she'd been talking to for three days, she said things were getting pretty serious. I had to literally pinch myself not to yell at her for being so stupid. At about noon I told her I was hungry, so we went to a place that sold shitty salads, but Jessica said they were the only healthy things.
At about two, I just wanted a good old slice of pizza and a coke so I told Jessica I was going back to Hollister to buy a crop top. She agreed after I begged for a couple of minutes, but she wasn't happy.
Once I saw Jessica walk away I rushed to the food court, I mean I was actually running. I wanted the damn pizza. I could see the foot court sign, I was determined to get some real food when I ran into what felt like a brick wall.
Next thing I knew, I was staring into dull blue eyes, that were almost grey. Then I realized I fell on top of the owner of the beautiful eyes.
"I am so sorry." I say standing up, offering the person my hand.
The boy didn't take my hand, but stood up on his own. He towered over me, and he was ripped. He had sandy blonde hair that swept above his eyebrows, and he wore a black snap back.
"What was so damn important that you had to be full out sprinting?" The guy asked eyeing me annoyingly.
"Pizza." I mumble.
I expected a smile from the boy, but his face showed no emotion.
"Food?"
"Yep."
"You already annoy me, are you a freshman or something?"
"Senior." I say annoyance in my voice.
"You have no curves, that's impossible."
"Listen dick head, I know I'm a senior in high at Santa Monica Northwest-" I start but the guy cuts me off.
"I go there, and I've never seen you."
"What's you're name?" I ask.
"Jacob Fray, yours?"
I've never heard of a Jacob Fray before.
"Haley Johnson."
"Yeah, I've never heard of you."
"Well it is a big school." I say like it's obvious.
"No shi-" Jacob starts but gets cut of by an annoying high pitched voice.
"Jacob?"
Jacob and I both turn around to look at Jessica, her red lips were parted in confusion.
"Hey babe."Jacob says charmingly.
"Why are you with Haley?"
"Um nothing just hanging around." Jacob says in a way that made me confused.
Jessica had hurt written all over her face but turned to me "I thought you were going to Hollister."
"You thought wrong." Jacob chirps
I gave him a death glare, as he charmingly smiled at me.
"Did you come just to talk Jacob?"
"No no, I just wanted to get some food before I went to Hollister."
"I doubt that." Jacob snorted.
"Shut up!" I yell towards him, and he just laughs.
"Let's go Haley I'm done shopping." Jessica says in a sad voice.
I follow Haley, as I looked back at Jacob. He was smirking, then he winks at me as he turns around walking the other way.

"Why are you mad at me?" I ask Jessica in my driveway."You lied to me!"
"I was hungry, I just got some food!" I exclaimed.
"Whatever it was a bitchy move." Jessica said then pulled out my driveway, speeding away.
I sighed of frustration, I'm never planning on hanging out with that drama queen again. When I get inside my house I plop down on my couch pulling out my phone. I immediately check Twitter, like always. I check to see if anyone requested to follow me, a name stuck out to me as I read the short list of people.
Jacob Fray had found my Twitter account.
