Lance's POV

I quickly used my helpful long legs to kick Lupis' back and I pushed myself up. I turned the thickened layer of ice on myself thicker starting from my wrist to my fingertips, which I made claws for, and lashed out at Lupis.

Unfortunately, Lupis is very agile and quick, so he was able to avoid my attack easily. Using his speed, he launched himself at me and tackled me on all fours, he had an extremely familiar fire in his eyes, but I ignored it for now. Again, I put my leg against his small torso and kicked him off me. I stood up and brushed all the pebbles off and out of my clothes and hair, Lupis seemed to be taking a while to get up so I tried to make myself look nice again. As I was picking dirt and pebbles out of my ice-claws, Lupis pounced again. Instead of letting him tackle me, I put my leg out and blocked him from getting to me. Unfortunately he recovered much quicker and pounced again, this time I was not able to block him and instead he pinned my arms and legs (finally learnin' your lesson buddy?) and clawed at my face viciously, it was starting to crack the ice on my face and I quickly got concerned over my identity.

I rolled out from underneath Lupis and tapped my nose again, reapplying the layer of ice. "Well Lupis, I gotta get goin', I have some people in captivity that I really need to release so they don't freeze to death. Bye bye!" I said, waving goodbye to Lupis. Before he could pounce again I stomped my foot and created a very slippery path of ice beneath him and the rest of the building. I made sure it wasn't permanent and was just long enough to let me leave. I hopped across the building tops and eventually spotted the abandoned warehouse I had left the people in. I slid down the building I was on and landed gracefully onto the ground. I retracted my ice-claws and thicker pieces of ice and let them crumble to the ground.

I walked up to the warehouse only to see Lotor standing next to the door, oh goodie what the fuck does he want now.

"Frost, your timing is unexceptionally late, what happened?" Lotor said, his British accent thickening his cold voice. "Lupis came around and he wanted to have a fight so I had a mini fight with him and now he's stuck on top of a roof" I briefly explained. He nodded, his long white hair bouncing with him. Lotor stared at me confusingly but decided to walk off. I sighed and opened the warehouse doors only to see them snap off. The people I had inside were shivering horrendously and they stared at me in horror.

"Sorry that I'm late, had to take care of a cat. Anywho, I'm gonna unfreeze y'all now, kay?" I said, letting a playful smile fall onto my face, my face mask doing the same. I tapped the freezing cold walls and the ice quickly dissipated, almost immediately, everyone rushed out of the still-cold-room to get some fresh-warm air. I stared at them for a moment but quickly hopped onto the side of a building and followed the same path I took back to the apartment.

On the way back, I didn't notice Lupis anywhere, and almost got relieved that he was alright. I had this weird feeling of protection over the guy.

When I reached the back of the apartment building I unfroze my face and the rest of myself, and hopped up on the side of the building me and Keith's apartment was. I located the hallway window, and leaped through it. I grabbed the bag I had left in the corner of the hallway and put on my regular clothes quickly. I took the key out of my pocket and I unlocked the door.

I stared around the apartment and noticed it had been completely furnished, and on the couch there was a bundled up Keith sitting there sniffling. Keith jolted his head up when I closed the door. "Hey, Keith" I said, exhaustion finally kicking in. "Hey" he responded. "What happened to you? And don't get blood on my couch." He asked as I layed on the couch to him. "I was attacked by a giant, vicious cat, it had really ugly hair too" I said, bending the truth a little.

"You cold, buddy?" I said sarcastically. "Yeah, I got Frost—" he hesitated for a minute, "-bite..." He said, looking to the side before sneezing again. I sat up before speaking, "Frostbite? In the middle of July? Seriously?" I laughed at the end. "Yeah.. frostbite.." He said, looking down, and sneezing again. His sneeze sounded like a kittens in a way.

What an idiot, did he fall into a freezer or something?

Keith stared at the floor for an unusually long time, his eyes seeming very focused on a thought. "What's wrong, Keith? You okay?" I asked, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Oh, it's nothing, I'm fine. Let's get you patched up" He said nodding a little near the end and standing up. I looked at him confusingly for a small moment until I followed him to the kitchen.

He reached up to the top cabinet, his fingers barely touching it. He puffed and crawled on top of the counter and stood up, opening the cabinet and grabbing the first-aid-kit and leaping down with incredible elegance.

"Give me your arm" he said, holding his hand out. I handed him my clawed up arm, and he said a warning for me "This is probably gonna hurt, a lot. So take this and bite into it" Keith said, handing me both of his gloves. I balled up the gloves and put them in my mouth. Keith took out the alcohol, placed it in a paper towel and placed it firmly against the wounds. I screamed a string of multiple curses but it ended as muffled screaming. If it wasn't for Keith's gloves, it would've sounded like someone was committing murder in here. Keith stopped pressing the alcohol on my wounds, took the bandages out of the kit, and wrapped them around my arm.

"How big was the cat?" He said, securing the bandages. I took the gloves out of my mouth and put them on the counter next to me before speaking, "Huge, it was unusually short, and it was almost purple, it was kind of like a panther that got dipped in purple dye. Must've escaped the zoo and got messed with during it's escape." I said, bending the truth once again. "How'd you get frostbite?" I asked, walking back over to the couch with Keith not too far behind me. "Well, I went to the ice rink down the road and I didn't bring much to protect myself from the cold, and I slipped and fell onto the ice and I kinda flew across the ice? Some guy pushed me over, I think" Keith said, moving his hands while he talked.

I sat down on the couch and nodded at his story as he told it, until and idea popped in my head. "Hey, we should go skating some time! I'm really good so I could teach you!" I said, a smile growing on my face. He looked shocked at that but nodded thoughtfully. "Oh sure, I guess we could go when my schedules free" He said, rubbing his gloves hands together thoughtfully. "Oh, what's your job?" I asked, suddenly curious. "Veterinarian" He said bluntly. "Oh, that's cool!" I said.

I saw Keith's eyes drooping, from as I could tell exhaustion, and quickly grabbed some of the blankets and put them on him. I then took some of the remaining blankets and wrapped them into a makeshift pillow until I could grab one. Keith seemed to fall asleep instantly with a cat-like smile on his face. Unfortunately for me, he fell asleep sitting up, so he slumped over onto me almost instantaneously. I groaned quietly, but decided I literally couldn't get up, his entire being was draped over me. I felt more of the exhaustion kick in and I passed out, head slumping down.
