Chapter 18

Author's POV

"I hope so......."

Steven Steel said making Mel more worried than he already is. He put his lips on a thin line and brushed his hair backwards with his hand in frustration.

After talking for an hour or so, Steven Steel got out of the room leaving Mel so that he can rest a bit. He even helped Mel to do some work.

Mel laid himself onto his bed and took out his phone to call his mom.

After a minute of dialling, his mother finally received the call by saying,"Hello, Mel?"

Mel smiled saying,"Hello, Mom. How are you?"

"I am alright son. How are you?"

"I am good too."

"How is Amy?" His mom asked and he frozed again. He did not call his baby sister yet. He was too caught up with all these things happening at the moment.

He got loads of work because of this problem and then his grandpa came. Though, Steven Steel helped him with some work but Mel had already forgotten about Amy.

He could not even call her. He forgot and was too busy.

"I did not call her today..."

"Why did you not?" His mom asked.

"I...forgot.." Mel said pressing his lips together onto a thin line.

Mel heard his mom sigh on the other side of the phone.

"Do not worry. I will call her after this call." Mel said.

"No. It must be midnight in the states right now. Do not call her now. Let her rest. Call her tomorrow morning. Ok?" Ruth said to her son.

"Ok, mom. I will call her tomorrow then." Mel said.

They talked a little bit more before hanging up the call.
After the conversation, Mel covered himself with blankets and drifted off to sleep.

*Meanwhile*

A car with full of people who looked like they were in their early and late 30's. They were driving off to somewhere that they had planned to go.

The only one who looked like was not in his 30's, he put his phone out from his pocket and looked at the time.

"Guys....it is time." The young male said to the older males.

The other just nodded and got down from the car in a swift motion but did not make a single sound what so ever.

All of them looked at their surroundings before getting down. One by one, they all got out and only the driver was still in the car to check the sorroundings.

*The next day*

Mel was sleeping and suddenly his phone rang. It was morning but too early for him to wake up yet.

After ringing for 4 times, Mel finally woke up groaning and trying to find his phone on the night stand beside his bed.

He lifted his right hand and found the phone with his half opened eyes.

He did not even bother to look at the ID and just picked up the call which was bothering him a lot.

He took the call by saying,"Hello?" His tone was annoyed.

Mel was seating on the bed with wide eyes sweating uncontrollably. He brushed his hair backwards in frustration again.

He bit his lips and clatched onto his phone even more than before. He wanted to smash the phone onto the mirror which was right before him.

He was worried as heck. He could not think of anything to do. He put his lips onto a thin line before dialling a number and putting on his right ear.

No. It is not about the work. Not even about his mom.

The person he called picked up saying,"Hello, Mel?"

"Yes..Matthew uncle. It is me. Mel."

"Oh..you want to talk about something?"

"Yes actually..."

"Is this that important? You know I am kind of busy right now. You can call me later, nephew." Matthew said as he was busy with work.

"Uncle, it...it is important.." Mel said.

"Oh..ok then...what is it?" Matthew asked his nephew.

"It..is about Amelia." Mel said and it was silent for a couple of seconds.

"What about Amelia?"

"She is.......under attack."

I was offline and was busy with studies...
So i am so sorry that i could not update...
