Froggy was making his way down one of IIIrd LO's corridors. As he was about to leave the building, he stumbled upon Yvonne Isher, who seemed to be in a hurry, at least until she saw him.
"Hmm, he's an easy target for manipulation. Maybe I can get some information about Fishy? He's his closest cooperator, after all." - Isher thought, approaching the unsuspecting Ted.
"Welcome, my dear 'colleague'. How are you this lovely evening?" - she asked, getting even closer, and getting defiant enough to be gently patting his arm. Froggy turned his head and looked down on her, his facial expression revealing stress.
"Quite tense, Yvonne. Plenty of work nowadays. Fishy sent me on a secret mission." - Froggy realized what he just said. - "A mission I wasn't supposed to tell you about in the first place, so I better get going, before I reveal any more details!" - he made a step, but was stopped by Isher. "What a loser!" - she thought.
"Oh come on, handsome! It surely isn't as important. Fishy probably made you think highly of this task, for you to take it more seriously. It wouldn't hurt if you told me just a little bit of detail.." - Isher said, with her gentle, soothing voice. Froggy wasn't ready for this.
He didn't have Isher wait long for the results of her manipulative tactics. He gave up everything along with the details, charmed by the (un)questionable beauty of our female mastermind. Satisfied, Isher knew that a bribe to keep Froggy silent was in order.
"Thank you very much, Ted! You are such a good boy, I can't believe it. You deserve something special." - she reached into her bag and took a small glass container. - "Take this vial of liquid. You're probably wondering what's that; basically, it's the result of my research. Many students gave up their precious working hours to extract this substance. It's a special formula, which, in theory, should overclock your mitochondria. That would result in an overwhelming feeling of being energised. Hopefully you won't die, should you choose to drink it. Have a nice evening and don't tell anyone else about your mission or this chemical!" - she waved to him, smiled cutely and walked out of the school with much haste.
Froggy waved in her direction weakly, but was feeling like a total tool. Understandably. He hid the vial in his suit's pocket and left the school as well.
Isher was far ahead of him. She had been walking for several minutes before she reached her car and got in. She took out her phone and called Vantami.
Speaking of Vantami, he was sitting in one of SHVS's many dorms. As soon as he heard the phone ringing he sprang and answered the call.
"Hello?" - Vantami was up and ready for action, which could be easily heard in his voice. Isher took notice of that.
"Hey there, my newest employee. I've got some news for you. First, I've made sure that you got expelled from the IIIrd LO, for 'insubordination'. With those papers you've got from me though, there's nothing you have to fear about. Just don't anger Fishy by returning to the school. Hopefully you took everything from your locker."
"Oh, well." - Vantami didn't seem very happy, but felt that it was better not to interfere with Isher's plans.
"I have your first assignment, young man. Are you good at sneaking aroung and spying while avoiding unwanted attention?" - Isher asked. Vantami answered enthusiastically:
"I surely am! Nobody ever notices me in class and outside of it. I'm the best person for such a job."
"Very well." - Isher said. - „You'll get off your lazy sofa right now and head to the shady district of Cufthill. Do your best to find Froggy."
"That loser?"
"Yea, pretty much. First, I attached a GPS nano-tracker to his jacket, so that you can use your smartphone to know his approximate position. Then, you'll tail him, but avoid being noticed. Take note of what he's doing and who he's watching or talking to. Your mission, it's that simple!"
"Affirmative. Until then, see you later, Miss."
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Goldy was lying in his bed. He got bored playing video games on his smartphone and instead fiddled with the medal he got from Fishy. He was remembering all the perils he had experienced with him and Froggy. The feeling of fulfillment still stood strong inside him.
A rather pretty nurse entered the room where Goldy was.
"It's been a month or two already. You are all right now, aren't you? Time to leave the hospital and make room for new patients."
"Hm, that's right." - Goldy said. He got up for the first time in sixty two days. His muscles had been unused for quite a long time and proved slow to respond. The nurse noticed his clumsiness and chuckled cutely.
"That's how everyone behaves after sustaining a major injury like yours. Glad to see you standing on your feet. I already called your parents, they're on the way."
"Perfect. Time to return to regular life." - Goldy said.
This statement might have been true for Goldy himself, but the IIIrd LO, and more importantly, its headmaster's future was uncertain. Despite all this, Goldy decided to return to school and never engage in life-risking activities again.
