Gray had been sleeping for a good 4 hours before Reece woke him up. "Grayson. We made it to New Jersey." He said softly, shaking his boyfriend awake gently. "I got us food, and we're at a rest stop right now."
Gray nodded sleepily and sat up. He fixed the flower crown on his head before getting out to use the bathroom.
A few minutes, and a bit of coffee, later, Gray and Reece had switched spots. "Where do you wanna go?" Gray asked.
"Um, maybe we can just get a hotel around South Jersey, stay there, then leave again tomorrow." Reece suggested.
"That's fine. Then maybe wherever we're going, we can find an apartment." Gray nodded.
He pulled out of the rest stop, then started driving again.

It was almost 7 o'clock before the boys found a decent hotel. Gray just grabbed his suitcase and coffee refill before going inside.
While they listened to the receptionist book their room, Reece got out the money needed and payed. "Room 262." She handed them the key card.
They made their way to the room and both smiled a little when seeing how much space they had. Gray plugged in the two phones, so that way they were fully charged for the morning.
Once Gray set the suitcase on the bed, Reece realized that they finally were gone. "Gray..." he mumbled.
"Yeah, babe?" Gray got out a pair of pajama pants and a t-shirt for Reece.
"We're out. We got out of the colors." Reece smiled softly. He sat on the bed, taking off Gray's snapback.
"Oh my God we are..." Gray smiled brightly for the first time in a while. "I can't believe this. I love you so much." He said absentmindedly, going up to the smaller boy, gently grabbing his face and kissing him.
And surprisingly, Reece kissed back. They pulled away seconds later, both blushing madly. "Sorry." Gray muttered.
"You love me?" Reece disregarded his apology.
"Uh, yeah. I really do. I would've never done anything like this if I didn't." Gray said, making the answer sound obvious. "I really do love you Reece. I wasn't allowed to say it in New York."
"I know, I think I might love you too." Reece grinned, getting up and grabbing his cup of coffee.
Gray was a bit awestruck, honestly, how could this boy love him? "We should sleep, baby. We have a long drive ahead of us if we want to get down south." He said, taking off his shirt, leaving him in a pair of jeans. He laid down on the bed, holding his arms out.
Reece got the hint, then changed. He laid down, clinging himself to his boyfriend. He stayed close to Gray, like it kept him safe.
"Tomorrow, we can start the rest of our lives together. I love you baby." By the time Gray finished talking, Reece was already asleep.
