Going through the dusty old box in the corner of your room
Each item represents a time in your life
You first pull out a bobby pin
This was when you cut your hair to be a new person
Sometimes you forget why you decided to cut your hair
You looked in the mirror everyday and grew to hate the self you couldn't recognize anymore.
You took that bobby pin and pinned back the fly always and imperfect hairs.
Somehow this bobby pin masked all of those insecurities in your head.
Your daily routine became pinning those hairs back.
This was at the top of the list
If you ran out of time, you would make sure to bobby pin your hair instead of brushing your teeth or putting on your left sock
But then one day you look in the mirror and realize you don't need that bobby pin anymore.
You slowly pull the bobby pin from your hair.
All of the fly always and imperfect strands of hair become the main center piece
You throw the bobby pin into a dusty box in the corner.
