Looking Into My Eyes - Derek Hale (On Hold)

~The Chase~

                                                                                       Chapter: 2

I think I had run about 6 miles before noticing a sign that read Beacon Hills. It was getting dark so I searched for shelter and discovered a somewhat large enough hole in a tree and decided to spend the night there. I was starving so when I smelled something of deer a couple yards away I tracked it a couple yards away. I was patient, quiet, and perfectly camouflaged in the bushes.

*SNAP*   

In a desperate effort I lunged for the deer. The stag landed a clear hit to my jaw as my body flung through the air, my back hitting a tree and landing on my side. Allowing the deer to flee without harm.

Blood spilled from where the stag kicked me and I was still a little dazed from impact. But something made me a little uneasy, the snap wasn't from the deer. It had to have been from another animal, or human which didn't make sense what other animal would be out this late at night unless you were another predator. Wolves haven't been in Beacon Hills for many years or so I could tell, there was no scent of any pack that traveled here. 

*Howling* 

I felt a shiver run through my spine. It was definitely a wolf, either a lone wolf or calling for its pack. I was confused and lost in my thoughts.

*Whoosh*  

I spun around to see a pile of leaves that have been kicked up, I caught the scent of a male but it wasn't like normal wild wolves it almost had the scent of a domestic but it was as if it could...

change...like me..

But he wasn't the only one here, there was 4 others 1 was a female the other 3 were male, and with them 1 human. I couldn't officially locate were they all were, but I knew I wouldn't win this fight.

*Whoosh*     

I turned and ran as fast as I could, my heart racing as fast as my thoughts. Suddenly I was standing a couple feet away from a Beta. He seemed about my age but he was just turned and still new to this change I could smell it on him.

I growled and lunged at him. 

*Arrow shot*

*Screaming Whimper*

My body was thrown through the air again and landed on my side, I could taste more blood in my mouth and the sharp pain in my ribs from every time I tried to breathe.

I heard someone say something to me but I couldn't see who it was because whatever was in that arrow was making me weak and my vision go blurry.

"Don't worry everything will be alright, you're going to be just fine I promise." a male voice said as I was picked up.

The way the voice comforted me and began soothing my racing heart actually made me feel like... it was gonna be alright, and when I was picked up I felt secure and safe.

...............I've never felt anything like this before.

I know its been a while since I last updated and it was because wattpad wasn't responding on my laptop so that's why I couldn't post for a while, But anyways I'm going to try and get a third chapter in today if I can to make up for the time I've missed.
