Hi guys,
so it's 2am and I don't know I finished this early so I guess I'll update.I'm really tired honestly since today's been really hectic.
I hope you enjoy this one since it's something I've been looking forward to since the beginning.
I've never written a kiss scene I swear, so this is very amateur.
Have a good day/night,
love,
ruth (more or less)

EGON THOMPSON STANDS in the driveway leaning on a Roman styled pillar as Dalileh approaches him.
"Your family decided to stay in the manor?" she asks rather than greeting him.
"Look who's talking. Your family has one twice this size" he remarks with a slight chuckle and a shake of his head. He stands up from the wall and leads Dalileh inside the manor as she shrugs in response to his remark. They walk upstairs in silence; Dalileh discovering that the manor hadn't changed even the slightest since she'd last been here. She considers it ironic since everything else has been chipped apart and placed together in a rush.
Despite this, the manor's grandiose still manages to bring a minute amount of awe with its eloquent paintings and modern upstanding. She remembers local history explaining that her family and Egon's had been amongst the founding families of Nostrand. Her mother had explained it to her as a middle school aged child when her parents soon wanted to downscale. Dalileh decides to not dwell upon it and boosts her walking to catch up to Egon as he opens a door. "I wanted to take you to the garden. Mom had a small greenhouse installed", Egon says as he takes her upstairs by the hand.
Inevitably Dalileh nods, feeling a slight warmth in her heart as the past stirs up in disoriented memories. Genuineness wrapped softly in their laughs and tumultuous screams which fuelled their fury towards each other. Innocent mutterings of 'I love you's' in the early afternoon and heavy hearted cries from the high-induced frustration. I missed you. Words that can never spill in the form of Dalileh's voice after the toxins they emitted into people's lives. She stands watching him as he moves things around the garden; a velveteen smile playing at her lips. The largest couch is now empty, having had plant pots on the seats.
He dramatically gestures for her to take a seat with a slight bow, "Madam."
Dalileh shakes her head comically but takes a seat either way. When Egon sits beside her he quietly asks, "Do you want anything?""For you to quit" she replies straight faced knowing he'll understand. He huffs in slight vexation before looking in her direction.
Then, he says, "Why can't we just stay peaceful?"
"Because the last time we stayed peaceful my brother died" she instantly refutes as she gazes at him with an unexplainable fury and guilt in her eyes. Catastrophic sandstorms occur in her eyes as the color is caught by the sun. They are thrown into silence as Egon's tongue is caught; unable to form a proper response.
Then, he grabs Dalileh's hand and laces it with his. He traces circles on her skin with his thumb and he says softly, "I'll try I promise." Dalileh nods once slowly staring at his thumb on her skin, her hand in his, and the wind that lightly blows loose strands of hair from her bun. She feels slightly overwhelmed yet a sense of serenity lines the edges of her heart.
The girl knows that he's gazing at her however, is blind to the adoration in the hayfield coloured eyes. Then, he asks, "Do you remember our first kiss?"
Dalileh recovers from her trance at the question and makes eye contact with Egon. Then, almost hesitantly she nods her head. "Two years ago" she begins to say as a certain weight settles upon her heart at the memory and her eyes flutter shut momentarily, "at the end of school you were waiting for me at my locker."
Egon continues which gets Dalileh to open her eyes, "And we walked home together. It was before I found out anything about you and the parties. Everything was just a rumour then. I kissed you before you went inside to your house."
His thumb has stopped drawing circles in her skin and it causes her to take a sharp intake of air. She's internally shaking, pieces of her scratching against each other as she avoids looking at him. But, she doesn't have the nerve to pull her hand from his; she's missed the warmth. Egon places a hand underneath her chin and lifts her head upwards. Don't leave me. It's written in every atom that forms her eyes yet she can't say it; she feels strangled.
Tears are forming in her eyes while she looks into his. She is swallowed by the Michelangelo painting in his eyes and the dulcet touch of his hand. It merely brushes her skin for a second longer before he applies pressure to keep her in place. He leans down and Dalileh's tears finally fall as his lips meet hers and they melt into one another.
A small sob escapes her and she grabs hold of his shoulders in attempts to keep herself steady. Egon embraces Dalileh with warmth and begins to arrange the loose ends of her hair. Then, she looks up at him from his chest and whispers, "I missed you" before placing her head atop his heart.
A smile traces Egon's mouth as he replies by placing a kiss on her hair, "I missed you too Dali."
