why did I cheat

I have been with Y/n for 3 years. I never thought I would cheat on her, but it did happen. I have kept it from her until that one night. Everything changed.
"Baby I'm home," I said as i have came back from work. I waited for her respond, but nothing. I heard sobbing in the bedroom. Worried I went inside the room, finding Y/n in the corner sobbing.
"Baby, what's wrong" I ran to her hugging her tightly in my chest.
"Why," is all she said pushing me away from her. This broke my heart.
"Mi amor why are you crying," I asked trying to find out why she was upset.
"Why did you cheat on me, I'm I not good enough for you." Y/n had said voice cracking in the end.
"Princess you're my everything, please mi amor that night was a mistake it didn't mean anything," I said trying to calm Y/n down. Y/n starts crying again, I try to grab her hand but she punches it away. My heart broke into pieces.
"Why are you here," she asks with so much sadness laced to each word.
"I'm trying to forget about you," Y/n's words made me start crying and again I try to grab her hand but she pushes it away again. As I was trying to reach her, she gets up quickly running out of the house. I try catching her, but she got away. I've been searching for Y/n for years know. I just hope she'll take me back.
