God, this place is huge, I thought to myself as I walked into Goose Creek High School. There were so many groups just hanging around, and you could obviously tell who was who. I just stood there, trying to take it all in.

"Uh, miss. Are you okay?" a somewhat high-pitched voice sounded behind me. I turned to see a really pretty girl with golden brown hair and greenish-blue eyes that were really mysterious and... odd. I could tell I knew her from somewhere.

"Umm, yeah," I stuttered, "I'm just looking for the office. It's my first day and I kinda need a schedule,"

She smiled at me, her eyes twinkling, "Down the hall, turn right, then it's the first door on your left. By the way... my name's Michaela. Maybe I'll see you around sometime," then she walked away to her own group of more pretty girls. At that moment it had dawned on me that she was probably one of the nice populars.

I walked down the hall, turned right, then went into the first room on the left... with every single eye on me the entire way. I walked into the office to find an older lady typing away on her computer.

"Kylie Coldren?" she asked without looking up.

"Yes ma'am. I'm here to pick up my-"

She interrupted me, "You're schedule, I know," she finally looked at me as she handed my schedule to me, "Good luck at this school Miss Coldren, you'll need it."

Yeah, thanks for warning me. Coulda used that earlier. I mean, a popular came up to me today for Pete's sake! Something's wrong here...

And then I saw him. Noah fricken Petty. I stopped dead in my tracks. We knew each other in middle school, when we dated. We dated in seventh grade, broke up right before the end of eighth grade, then I moved back to Germany, where I was born. My family decided to move back to South Carolina for my senior year, because my sister, Delaney, was out of school.

Apparently I had been in a trance for too long, because Noah had turned and we made eye contact. He smiled at me, and nodded his head in my direction. He must not realize who I am... I tucked my long blonde hair behind my ear and looked down at my purple Vans. I looked back up to him and he was STILL staring at me. I finally decided to look away and to walk to my first class, History.

"Good Morning Class," my History teacher, Mrs. Albertson said in a bored tone.

All she got in reply was silence...

"With what we're looking at today, we have a new student. Kylie Coldren."

As if on cue, every eye in the room turned towards me. I set a little wave and just looked around the room. The only person I recognized was Michaela, looks like Petty isn't in my history class, good.

"Is there anything you would like to say to the class, Miss Coldren?" Mrs. Albertson said in the same bored tone.

"Umm,"

"Please stand up Miss Coldren," Boredo (As I decided to start calling her) had taken to sitting on her desk scrolling through FaceBook.

So, I stood up. "I was born in Germany, then I moved here. After eighth grade I moved back to Germany. I am now back here because my older sister Delaney is now in college at CSU. I love singing and drawing, and there's really nothing else so I'm gonna sit down, well, as long as that's okay with you Mrs. Albertson," I put on a devilish smile.

"Are you sassing me, young lady?" she still didn't sound amused.

I could hear "oohhhs," and "she's gonna get it" coming from the classroom. I looked over and saw Michaela even with a gigantic smirk on her face.

"Actually ma'am, I think I may be," I shrugged with the largest smile on my face, even though I was trying to be serious.

"You talk too much, with what I'm looking at, you need to sit before I send you to the principals office with what we're looking at," she still sounded bored.

"With what we're looking at, I'll stand too," Michaela stood up, laughing her butt off.

Michaela's POV

What the heck is Kylie doing? Why is she trying to get on Boredoms bad side??

"You talk too much, with what I'm looking at, you need to sit before I send you to the principals office with what we're looking at," her monotone voice sounded through, even with Kylie being a smartass.

The silence was overbearing, and I felt like Kylie and I knew each other at some point. It looked like she had nothing left to say, and I didn't want her to have to surrender from Boredom. So, I had to stand up.

"With what we're looking at, I'll stand too," I commented while standing up, mocking her bored tone. Of course since I stood up, everyone else did too. There was a chorus of "With what we're looking at"s.

Kylie looked at me like I was her lifesaver, in which I really was. No one should wish upon anyone to feel Boredom's wrath.

Kylie's POV

Michaela was a LIFESAVER. I don't think I would be able to withstand Boredo, nonetheless, the principal...
