Just A Girl

June was just a small town girl. She just graduated and is now headed to the little college just down from her house. She has light brown hair with, what looks like, natural caramel highlights. Her eyes are mostly brown. But in the hot summer sun, on a happy day, they look as blue as Daytona waters. Her mom has brown eyes, her dad has blue. She inherited a rare mixture of birchwood, vastly speckled with vivid sapphires. The way they changed colors looked like pure magic.
But this beauty was hidden from the world. Masked in anxiety and dread. It's not like anyone noticed tho. No ones ever seen it.
In high school she would immediately become uncomfortable when she walked into any crowded area. Being with her friends wasn't any better. They would always chat and laugh and leave her out of the conversation. She didn't even know how to begin to jump into a conversation with them. So she stayed silent, letting her anxiety wash over her.
She knew college was going to be just the same. So instead of giving herself the headache of dealing with new people, she decided she was going to keep her head down, walk to school, go to class, and stay out of the way.
That is until,..

SMACK!!!
