“What did you do?” Rachael asked Leo as we walked toward the bus.
“Mr. Jones pointed at me and said ‘there’s an idiot at the end of this finger.’ So I said which end.” He chuckled in memory of what he said.
I burst out laughing “Nice, he’s had that coming to him for years.”
“I know, I was sick of him picking on me, so I picked on him for a change.” Leo shrugged and smiled at me mischievously.
We both turned to look at Rachael, who hadn’t said anything for a while. She hadn’t laughed at what Leo said to Mr. Jones or anything.
“Rach? What’s up?” Leo asked her. But she didn’t notice just stared of into the distance.
“Follow her eyes, see what she is staring at.” I said I looked into her brown eyes.
Huh she has really nice eyes dark, big. Wait…what?! I turned around to see what she was looking at (which was difficult as we were walking.)There was a boy lent against a lamp post at the bus stop, right in the direction she was staring at.
“Who’s that?” I asked looking intensely at the boy.
“I’ll be right back.” Rachael walked away from us, towards the boy. Both Leo and I stopped and looked at each other.
“You don’t think?” Leo said.
“I don’t know, just because we don’t see her that way doesn’t mean other boys don’t.” I answered Leo and shrugged my shoulders.
We carried on walking, both of us fixed on Rachael and this boy. They seemed to know each other and where having a conversation. We stopped next to Rachael one by one of her shoulders, the other next to the other, so that she was stood in the middle of us.
“Oh hello Rachael, what a coincidence seeing you here.” I said smirking at her.
“Yes what a surprise.” Leo said mimicking my smirk.
I looked up at the very confused looking boy and smiled. “Who is your friend?”
“Harry these are my very annoying best friends Leo (she pointed at Leo) and Tyler. (She pointed at me.)” Racheal said smiling at the both of us, not a really smile more of a psychotic smile as if she were saying ‘you’re dead when we get on this bus’.
“Oh your best friends are boys, that’s cool.” Harry said smiling at the both of us.
Leo and I shared a look as if to say ‘I already don’t like him’.
“See I told you I’m a boy. I’ve been living a lie Leo! I need to re-think my whole life!” I said looking at Leo and smiling.
Harry laughed. LAUGHED. How dare he. He will regret his decision.
Leo stared at him with raised eyebrows, “Hmm” He sounded. “We’ll see you on the bus Rach.” Leo said as the bus pulled in.
We turned and walked onto the bus. Found are normal seats and sat down.
“How dare he.” Leo said frowning at me.
“How very dare he.” I nodded in agreement. “We made fun of him and he laughed. Laughed.”
“I know, who does he think he is?” Leo said crossing his arms over his chest.
“Oh there’s a storm coming. He’s going down.” I stated. Leo nodded and Rachael came walking toward our seats.
