Estelle
Leeciy sits in the backseat of the car, Reiba on his lap. "Where are we going?"
"We have to pick September up." August says, pulling out into the highway.
"Yeah, then what?" Leeciy asks.
"We're going to take you to meet Nigel and Jackson." I answer
"Who?"
"They helped me adjust to life above, so they can help you." I say.
"Why can't you?" He asks.
I shrug. "I guess I'm not trained for that."
"Are they nice?" He asks.
I nod. "They're like my parents."
"So you're an orphan? Both your mother and father died in Pangaea?" Leeciy asks.
"As far as I know, my mother is alive as well. I haven't seen her for well over a year." I say.
"Lucky." He says.
I raise a brow, looking back at him.
"When you have the mark, when your mom kills your dad, she must kill herself also." He explains. "So both my parents died when I was young."
"Pangaean culture is strange." August says.
"True, but I thought your culture was weird when I came up here." I say.
"Estelle?" Leeciy calls.
"Yes?"
"What's your Oura konnes?" He asks.
"I haven't unlocked mine." I answer.
"I learn on the word." He says. "I didn't know English until you brought it up, now I'm fluent."
"Is that why your eyes glow?" I ask.
He nods. "That happens whenever I learn something."
"So if I were to say any skill, you'd learn it?" I ask.
He nods. "Or an action, like when you said trust me. I had to, I couldn't help it even if I didn't want to."
"Oh, sorry." I say.
"That's fine." He says, looking down at a sleeping Reiba. "I'm going to rest."
"Ni-" I turn back to say, stopping when I realize he fell asleep on command.
August reaches over and grabs my hand.
I look up at him, giving him a closed-mouth smile.
"You're cute." He says, pulling our intertwined towards his mouth, leaving small kisses on the knuckles of my fingers.
"I love you, I want you to know that." I say softly.
His eyes don't leave the road, but he does break out into a grin. "I love you too."
"Good. It would be awkward if you didn't." I joke.
He lowers our hands back to the compartment inbetween our seats. "It would, especially because I've loved you since September last year."
"Can you guys stop, I may vomit." Leeciy says from the backseat.
My cheeks heat up. "Sorry."
"Just let me sleep." Leeciy murmurs.
"Here's Ned's." August says, pulling over into his driveway.
Ned's house was cutely quaint. He lives there with his fiancée which he recently proposed to. She's pretty nice, I've met her twice.
"I'll go get September." I say, getting out of the car.
The house door opens, September walking out. "Hello, how was the trip?"
"It was okay, we have to bring him to the labs." I say.
"Alright, can I come?" He asks.
"Yeah, he's actually a cool guy." I say. "He's in the backseat."
"Alright." September opens the car door, and climbs in next to Leeciy.

Nigel thinks it will be sufficient if they give Leeciy a full body examination like they did to me, mostly because he's a different sex than me.
So Annaliesee, Leeciy, and I were sat in a room, wearing the familiar examination clothes. Which were black full body leotards, excluding the head.
Leeciy was sat on a medical-like table, his suit unzipped halfway, just enough to show the Mark Of Aegis, which started in the center of his chest and swirled down to the edge of his biceps. The Mark has swirling runes and designs, the middle housing the Aegis Rune.
It looks pretty hardcore to be honest.
"I get that the Mark of Aegis is rare and all, but does it have to be so big?" Annaliesee whispers in my ear.
I shrug. "I think it looks cool."
"It does, but imagine an itty bitty baby, having a huge tattoo." She whispers.
"For your information, Annaliesee, It only finished a year ago, so the itty bitty baby would only have the Rune of Aegis." Leeciy says, pointing to the rune on his chest.
Logan was told to sketch the mark, so they could examine it without having Leeciy take his shirt off.
"Can we take a blood sample?" Jackson asks.
Leeciy quirks a brow. "What does that mean?"
"We want to see if your blood is any different than the girls'." Jackson explains, cleaning a small syringe.
"So you want me to cut myself?" Leeciy asks.
"We'll extract the blood with this." He shows Leeciy the syringe.
"Fine, be quick with the torture device." Leeciy comments.
Nigel comes into the room. "Jane wants you to know that your eyes are very pretty."
"Tell her I said thanks." Leeciy says, obviously confused.
"Anyway, what are we doing?" He asks Jackson.
Jackson sticks the syringe into Leeciy's arm.
Leeciy's blood was different than me and Annaliesee's blood. His was a purple so dark it was almost black.
"Woah." Annaliesee awes at the color.
"A significant color difference." Nigel observes, taking the syringe from Jackson, walking over to the examiner.
"Leeciy, what's your Oura konnes?" Annaliesee asks.
"I learn really quickly." He starts. "Quickly as in very quickly, so if you were to tell me a skill, and give me ten seconds, I could master it in that time."
"Sketching." Logan says.
Leeciy zones out, his eyes glowing and pupils dilating. "Give me the sketch pad."
Logan hands over the sketch pad and her pencil.
He drags the pencil over the table rapidly, quickly finishing the sketch of the mark.
"Done." He murmurs.
Jackson takes the sketch pad and compares it to the actual mark. "It's perfect."
"Need anymore proof?" He asks.
Jackson shakes his head, Nigel copying.
"So, do we have any more Pangaeans?" Leeciy asks, pushing his hair out of his face.
I shake my head. "This is just the beginning."
