I had just enough quarters to call the AV Club's manager, Cody.
"Hey this is the AV Club. How can we help you?" This was corny, apparently, when an unknown number calls us, we have to answer it like an operating machine.
"Cody? It's me, Hades."
"What is it?"
"I need the team to come to the Twenty-Four Hour Karen Library. Quick! I have the best idea!"
"Bro," I hated being called 'bro' more than anything, "calm down, we'll go, but we'll have to be there around seven, we are at a club meeting. Maybe if you showed up, you'd know that we are trying to discuss what to document on."
"Whatever, just come as soon as possible, and bring something to write with and on. Bye."
"Bye."
Perfect, this will give me the exact amount of time to go home, get Cerberus, and come back. This has been one heck of a day.
After riding Persephone for about seven and a half minutes back home, I stumbled across Emiliette, who was outside on the cement ground.
"What's the matter?" Em was crying on the porch and I sat directly next to her
"Where were you?" She lamely said.
"I was hanging around the library, and I'm about to go back, why?" I asked.
"Okay, okay. Come back when you're ready to confront mom. Until then, I'm going to cover for you. Gosh, you're in trouble."
"What'd I do?" I wanted to punch a wall, along Emiliette.
"Mom wanted to get you something else for your birthday, something I don't even know about, and then you left to go to wherever you went to! I guess she was so sad she yelled at me! At me! Cause of you!" She snuggled her head in her hands and whimpered.
"I thought I left a note on my room's door so she'll know. And why would she get mad at that? It's still my birthday."
"She didn't go to you room until she already had your present, and you know how she is, she's emotional! You can't blame her!" She was waving her hands around, and grunting.
"Okay, just tell her I tried to leave a note, and there is an emergency AV Club meeting. Please."
"Fine, but I'll get what you want so you don't have to go in there. You owe me, big time."
"Yeah, thanks. Oh, and go get Cerberus, my laptop, it's on my desk." She stormed in and came out with my baby. Thank God I have Em. I thought. Emiliette really was my best friend, I've never told her, but I can't talk to anyone else the way I talk to Em.
Persephone was already on, so all I had to do was to get in and go to the library just before seven. The traffic was a bit more, so it took about nine minutes. At 6:53, I pulled into the Twenty-Four Hour Karen Library parking lot. I saw the AV Club's van. Just as I walked into the building, they got out of the van and ran towards the door and totally ignored my presence.
"Guys." I said sarcastically, just my specialty.
Gavin turned around and pondered, "Hades? C'mon, let's go inside, I heard it's something important." Gavin urged me in.
"Gavin, I am the important thing."
"Oh, well get in." He said as he pushed me into a chair. Cody was right in front of me. As well as Gavin, Chelsea, and Vincent.
"Okay, what's the idea? Geeks? Bullied people? Popular chicks? Band nerds? What is it?" Cody said to my bare face. This kid could be a business man, no doubt.
