It was declared. After Germany attacked Poland France and England decals red war in Germany. Christine was frightened this would be worse than the last war, Weapons and technology had advanced since then. She knew that they would soon start the draft. Gleb was only 22 he could easily be picked to fight. Christine didn't want him to leave not now not ever.
"Christine what's wrong?"
"I'm scared Gleb. What if you get drafted?"
"It will be ok Christine. I will never leave you. Even if I do get drafted I will fight through this hideous war just to come back to you."
"Gleb I love you." Christine said hugging him.
"I love you too." Gleb said kissing her head.

As the draft started many young man in France signed up. Gleb's age was considered one of the older age groups for war. Gleb did not want to leave Christine so he didn't sign up. Until one day when they hear a knock at the door.
"Hello gentleman what can I help you with?" Gleb greated the three men at the door with army uniforms on.
"We have a letter for you sir. You have been drafted into the war in Germany."
Christine's heart dropped hearing that gleb would be leaving her. Christine dropped the book she was holding and fell to the floor. Gleb closed the door and rushed over to a hysterical Christine.
"This can't be happening. We were just married now I'm losing you!" Christine said sobbing.
"Christine." Gleb said making her look at him.
"I will write to you everyday. I will fight everyday so I can come back to you. You will never lose me."
"Gleb do one thing for me."
"What is it Christine."
"Kiss me. Kiss me like it is our last time together."
Gleb leaned in and kissed Christine with all of the love he could give. Christine wrapped her arms around his neck loving every moment. When Christine pulled away Gleb started kissing down her jaw and to her neck. Gleb then picked her up and they both headed upstairs to share one last night together.
