Men of War

When Christine and Gleb got to the camp Gleb helped her out of the car.
"Be careful Christine some of these guys haven't seen a woman since the beginning of the war."
"Neither have you."
"I have been waiting for you."
"Well I guess I will have to make it up to you now won't I." She said with a grin.
Christine took Gleb's hand and walked over to where all the men were gathered.
"Good evening gentlemen." Gleb said.
"Good evening sir." One of the men said.
"I would like you to meet our new nurse Christine Vaganova."
"Hello Christine... wait Vaganova?"
"Yes, She is my wife."
Some of the other men laughed and some looked at their feet.
Christine noticed how good of a leader he was, she found it quite attractive.
"If you need any assistance Miss. Vaganova please let us know."
"Thank you."
Some of the men returned to their posts and some stayed in the group talking and telling stories. Christine and Gleb walked away from the group for some much deserved privacy.
"Where will you be sleeping?" Gleb asked.
"Hopefully next to you."
"I think I can arrange that." He said pulling her close.
Christine looked in his soft brown eyes. They were filled with love just like they were before he left.
"Follow me."
Gleb said leading her inside the building and up to his room.
